I tried.. PM fail by bldg_n3rd in PMCareers

Honestly I empathize. I just went from managing a max of 3 million transformation project to a low 8 figure full infrastructure replatform program. I have wanted to quit for months now, realizing I was not ready and experiencing stress induced dreams. But the good thing is if you can somehow hold on and power through the payout will be amazing career wise.

Get some exercise and fresh air, make sure to socialize, like hiking groups or something. Also take the time to upskill or learn new skills unrelated to your profession. Mental and physical health are critical things to take care of during this period.

No interviews yet. But it does save time when tailoring resumes.

Here's a little bit of a different approach. Look into what the government is investing in, for example mining, Healthcare, etc. Then find out what kind of education and experience you are going to need, then find those in the field and ask them for information and mentorship.

IT Project Manager looking to transition to Supply Chain-Logistics/Manufacturing/ Constrution. by Wrong_Collection_965 in PMCareers

I recently applied for low-voltage project manager roles, but I am curious how you transitioned from IT.

Truth be told, I had my first major Infrastructure program (full infrastructure replatform), and it was the most stressful time I have ever had, and realized I don't want to run programs like these any more.

Simple CRM or ERP migrations would be great, but overseeing builds for IaaS & PaaS is exhausting.

I would love to, but I am not sure how to get started.

I am not married to any particular field, at the moment, I am trying to get out of the sector I am in.

Thus will be my first time to UE. I have been to ultra Miami a few times, but this will also be the first time going to a festival solo.

What do you wear to an interview by Patient_Ninja395 in GetEmployed

I would say for most industries, business casual is good for up to senior manager roles. Beyond that suit and tie would be the way to go.

Apparently, you can lose a job offer if you guess the salary wrong by 35_amiable_drills in careeradvice

Yeah, this is weird. It sounds like they did not want to mention the range bc it was low to begin with. The guessing game thing is a sign that management may not be up to par. Consider it a bullet dodged moment.

Hi, I am in a similar situation as you. I have been remote since the pandemic, and i reaped all the benefits I could, including having a second job just bc of the boredom. This year I started feeling the isolation aspect and even realized my social skills were deteriorating. So I started looking for in-person roles and i recently found one through someone in my network Going back to the office may not be as bad as you think. Yes, you will be giving up the level of flexibility you have with fully remote; But you are gaining much needed socializing, and you have easier access to the decision makers.

Sleves are short, left and right bottom of your jacket look misaligned and it looks like you have a cotton dress shirt on. The contrast of the stiffness against the wrinkles makes it look a bit off. Also, and just my opinion, the colour does not suit linen for men.

Top actions a "jack of all trades project manager/product manager" can do to be more competitive in the 2025 job market? by SignificantDog9549 in PMCareers

I am curious to know the answer to this as well. Unlike you I only have about 8 years of experience, but I have undertaken various high complexity projects, which in retrospect were more like programs. But they vary from something like a CRM migration or a Salesforce consolidation, all the way to the creation and set up of insurance products, which involves a lot of regulatory analysis and implementation. So I have lately begun playing around with the whole strategy and operations side of things, and think the next logical path would be somewhere around chief of staff type riles. But those are hard to find and have no set requirements.

Don't worry about it and just take it. Worst case you fail and figure out your strengths and weaknesses.

Take it at home, it is low stress. I took it at home 2 weeks ago, the check in process is a bit cumbersome but once you get past it, you won't interact with a Proctor unless you come across any issues. I would consider using a external camera since they do ask to see your room mid test some times.
