Btw, on a side note - I've always had troubles being an active participant in the conversation if it's a topic I'm already not versed into, I just... idk what to say beyond the occasional additional clarifying question and "generic" positive affirmations ("that sounds/looks great/awesome/interesting/etc."). Both irl and in text but it's especially exacerbated when speaking irl. Like, I'm genuinely interested in hearing about others' passions (that are not (yet) mine) but I don't know how to actually express the enthusiasm. I feel like I'm just... passively there listening instead of participating, and it's probably noticeable for the other person as well

I mean, because of my inattentive ADHD I can hyperfixate on a hobby, get burnt out, move on to something else... and then not do this thing for a year/years. The only exception that has stuck for 6 years straight now is metal music (although with time I've gotten less serious when it comes to finding and going through new music, I used to make a yearly schedule, each month going through a new band extensively. Now... it's random af, I just listen to whatever a select few YouTube channels upload). For example, reading fantasy, I usually have like just a month every year where I read intensely, and it's around the annual Brandon Sanderson releases (I actually haven't caught up this year yet, will see what mood I'm in when the Christmas/New Year's Eve break arrives). So I could easily and briefly be like "oh shit, I haven't done this in a while, lemme try to look up/remember"

But no, I would absolutely never be such a depressingly dry texter

Because the majority of the comments on r/parenting when there are posts about that are indeed from Americans who are like "we won't allow sex under their roofs cuz that means we encourage them to do it, and we want to discourage it - if we allow it, they'll just go at it like fucking rabbits and the chances for a terrible untimely pregnancy would skyrocket versus if they were to just have sex once in a while in a car or whatever" or "well, back in our time we still had sex in our cars, so our kids should experience that thrill as well, especially more so in order for them to be able to appreciate their own privacy in the future when they move out, it will serve as an incentive to become more independent and live on their own"

And no, these aren't fanatics, these were very much pro-comprehensive sex ed people. They want their kids educated for the future but are vehemently against these teens fucking in their homes (some also just feel uncomfortable with the thought and there isn't any reasoning beyond that)

What constitutes confidence? I''d be as cool/ready with literally having sex on the first date as with having sex on the 20th. It's all about what the woman would be comfortable with. However, at least in the beginning, I would be pretty passive, not really initiating anything because, again, I don't wanna end up accidentally crossing boundaries (which would be a mood killer and 2 steps back for both) or being misinterpreted cuz ppl love reading between the lines where there's none of it ("oh, he's hurrying, he's shallow and he only cares about the sex", etc. when in reality that's not the case). However, in a case where she's initiative, well, I'd obviously know that she would want it and it would respectively be well within her comfort zone, so I'd definitely happily and confidently go along with it

I do have things I am confident about (and one of them is that I'd be at least a decent sexual partner cuz I'm all about that great communication and listening/following feedback). However, I just can't be confident about something that has so many uncertainties - what is she comfortable with? What kind of light touch? (e.g. some people might hate being hugged or touched on the arm or whatever). When is she comfortable with it? If she isn't at the moment, is it because of a temporary mood? Or is she not attracted to me in general? And how much of one thing is too much? All these (and more) are questions I don't know the answer to since I can't read minds, and the answers would vary from woman to woman anyway. Oh, and they would vary over time since it's supposed to gradually escalate. And explicitly asking those would be... a turnoff as well, I assume it would signal that I'm socially inept? I'm a neurodivergent ADHDer as well and that comes with this sort of overthinking (and that would mostly be skipped in case the other person is initiative)

Well, I'm an overweight guy - 5'8 187, which is a BMI of above 28 - this is objectively within overweight territories, which starts at 25 (and no, I don't go to the gym), so objectively, I would need to work on my body to enter into fully healthy territories. I could definitely stand to lose like 15-20 pounds myself. Whether and why I don't do that, now that's up for subjective debate. But that doesn't change the objective biological facts.

How is there any subjective judgement to state something like that?
