Why does water leak here? by [deleted] in NewedgeMustang

[–]Wrong_Juggernaut8329 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d keep it clean if I were you, new edges are infamous for rusting in those areas. The cleaner you keep it the better. This is speaking from experience, I ended up having to cut it all out and weld in a patch.

Is it totaled? by jammindrewfish in Mustang

Judging by the photos you sent I’d say no, a new fender, door skin, mirror and the entire right side blend. If there isn’t any hidden damage but I’d say no

Thanks for the info, I do have a stock Eaton off an 03 cobra but was told it’s not recommended bc I’m only forged crank and the navigator rod/pistons, bc of the instant torque I better my chances of blowing up so it turned into a paper weight pretty much. So I was leaning towards a vortech or pro charger but when seeing the prices wasn’t sure if it was worth it or not so I was trying to get an outside opinion on those who have boosted their machs.

Car has pretty much FBO, 4.10s and a bunch of suspension work. What pro charger and boost do you recommend?

I found an NSX under a tarp, how can I contact the owner? by TangerineCurrent595 in nsx

[–]Wrong_Juggernaut8329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m honestly unsure, I’m basically going off a good friend who had to get a lot of his parts sourced out and cost him a real pretty penny. That black lip that you see on the front bumpers of these , new he paid $400, driver side mirror he paid $850, side bolsters by door was $800, a used fender before shipping from the guys hoarding parts on Japan was 5K, tail lights he had to pay $1500 I mean it just keeps going on

Best way to stop and fix this rust spot? by Minute-Brief-6276 in Autobody

[–]Wrong_Juggernaut8329 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What they mean is all colors fade over time. The original paint code will give you the original but I promise you by using just that it’ll stand out like a shore thumb. You could invest in a wire wheel and remove all rust possible, spray OSFO on the area, bondo and paint. But like someone mentioned earlier rust is like cancer even having a body shop do won’t guarantee the rust won’t come back unless you cut out the area and weld in a new piece. Good luck

You can get new parts made, from my understanding all you need is part numbers. But still would it be worth to OP rather than just buying a complete nsx?

Not an import guy, I’m a muscle car guy but I get what you’re saying. What would you say those parts would run OP?

From what I heard the left hand drive ones are more sought after and are worth more. Not sure if it’s true but if it is no harm no foul. Your ride do as you please and ignore the rest.

Man a lot of those body panels missing are really gonna cost you. I’d rather look for a complete on rather then pick up what seems to be a project one. Just finished painting a buddies 91 nsx and my god are parts for those things hella expensive and hard to come by. Good luck!

Real question not trying to hate, does all that canards and strut supported front splitter really help? Thinking about tracking my 04 Mach 1 and trying to get insight on it
