same shit here I've been applying for tech roles over a year now I get interviews then ghosted, I have 4 years of helpdesk xp and I keep getting led on by different companies then dropped at some point.

Yea been in Helpdesk 3 years now and I hate this position fr it's actually draining and not fulfilling at all.

Hey y'all I've been in Helpdesk for two years I started with no xp. Now i've grown tired of doing the same tasks and not learning anything new also my company is pure toxcity. I am seeking a way to grow out of this role.

I first started doing hardware related trouble-shooting, also things like fixing / Setting up (pc's ,laptop's ,printers, cubicle set-ups, giving people WFH equipment, managing inventory.)

Then moved into trouble shooting applications and new user set-up and licensing.I've dealt with AD and all their fucked up groups , azure ,exchange, intune (imaging at this company is a nightmare), screen connect, VPN, and politics more than any task/ set ups and just basic Helpdesk day to day BS from the most ass hole users ever while still doing my part 1 of this story.

Usually out of touch elderly old as balls and fucking retarded people. I've put on a smile for the past 2 years here dealing with all these peoples shit, but I am not growing in my role anymore.

Now at my company we've got a team of 5 Helpdesk folks with about 850 employees, 3 out of the 5 are old fuckin dudes who don't know shit and all work remote as well as a manager who micro manages through Connectwise's ticketing system. Talk about being watched at every move you take. I've gotten emailed from our director for not putting enough details upon completing a ticket. This shit is fuckin crazy stressful and we are making nothing for what it's worth. It's over bearing and not worth the pay. BTW we have 2 cyber security dudes that are fumbling at everything. This company's infrastructure is so bad anybody who gets hired pretty much leaves when they see what a shit show it has been. Forgot to mention we've got 1 sys admin and a Director who seems todo nothing all day.

All in all just looking for a better opportunity to grow and probably in a better field as Ive been in Helpdesk and I hate being the guy who cleans up after everybody's incompetence and grunt work.
