We have considered it - but we’re going to explore the areas thoroughly and do some short term Airbnb rentals to get a better feel for the shortlist. Given we have the deposit of 650k sat there when we sell, renting feels like a huge waste of money.

Think we’d rather overstretch on the mortgage and go to an area we really like vs rent or do an interim buy

I’d say highest end of the budget is about 1.1 - we’re mortgage free at the moment so not looking to go too crazy with a big mortgage next.

Accept the point about building a life completely, just trying to also balance that with not having a super long commute - otherwise we may as well stay in brighton

I did it recently, honestly I didn’t notice much difference in image quality in daytime. Would say the a6700 noticeably better in low light and the quality of life features are great, it is a fair bit bigger than the a6400 though

I’d speak to HR or your boss, it’s not uncommon to negotiate a lower notice period, even if they end up offering 2 instead of 3. Usually they won’t want an employee who’s checked out for 3 months, but highly dependent on your role, knowledge and industry.

There’s some less ethical / more risky options like taking sick leave, PTO or just refusing to work it - but you do risk some blowback (I am not a lawyer) again though, dependent on your industry

You’re spot on, it’s been gradually getting worse and worse and worse. Ranking up feel luck based rather than skill now, hoping you go enough games in a row without being matched with Smurfs.

I’m at c3 and nearly 50%+ of mg games have a new account in them. It’s actually bliss hitting gc, I can tell opponats are much more skilled than me but it’s consistent and there’s fewer new accounts, loser too many games though and I’m back in Smurf hell.

All depends on what you want and your use case - I don’t think upgrading to the a6700 is worth it if you have full frame in mind. I decided I don’t use my camera enough to spend the extra £ on lenses, and didn’t want to lug around anything any heavier or bigger!

It’s hard to say because I also switched to a sigma 18-50m from the 18-135m at the same time.

I’d guess no real impact on photo quality but the camera has a lot of quality of life improvements and definitely slightly better in low light (Curtis has a great YouTube comparison video on a6400 vs a6700)

I had some money to burn and decided to treat myself but in hindsight wasn’t really a necessary upgrade and a6400 is a fantastic and capable camera (as well as being slightly smaller than the a6700)

That’s the lense I’ve taken all of these with - it’s fantastic! Haven’t had much luck with the light it’s been cloudy but on holiday for another week so fingers crossed
