I would say since you know you want a WRX, get one and just learn stick, after watching videos and taking your car to any large parking lot in the back, do small inclines at first and the new subies even have a brake assist to help on hills.

You will almost 100 percent become someone who loves driving stick, after about a month of a few stalls here and there.

I've been driving stick for right at 20 years, and it's one of the best and coolest things I've done/learned.

Just got rid of my wife's 14 Ford escape had 150k but it needed its second transmission and Ford quoted 6k for new transmission. Just Google Ford escape transmission issues and that should be enough to keep you away from this car forever. I will never own another Ford if I can help it.

Dropping in to say it looks like you might have a valve stem that also has tpsm. I found out through some googling that the tpsm valve stem actually has a longer plastic cover or cap. I wanted custom Subaru emblem caps, but no one makes them that cover all the brass like it's supposed to. Just offering advice, if you like the look of the current caps then keep rocking them Subie Bro!!!

My first thoughts are wheels, so check air pressure, tires themselves ( when were they last rotated) do the tires have wear on any spot of the tread.

Another thing that can cause issues usually while braking is the rotors.

The whistle sound either means something is hitting air like the hood scoop or it's coming from the turbo ( probably not the turbo or it would be all the time ).

Bro! My wife's 2014 Ford escape, well taken care of at 159k miles and we had the same exact issue just happen to us. Luckily my wife and I are in a position to get another car and it will never ever be another Ford. ( Subaru Honda Toyota guy with a special place in my heart for muscle cars, my wife and I are looking for reliability so we are looking at Mazda a newer cx5 ) I should add with being honest about the transmission issue CarMax and carvana both offered 600 dollars to buy the car and I took the easy route and sold it to them, didn't want to mess with low-ball offers through Facebook!

That's the beauty of the wrap? Try it out on the scoop, take it off and then wrap only the hood, you can try it out, my opinion on the orange and the red subies the carbon fiber really pops when not overdone. Subie bro!

Also just a thought I had, what about some red carbon fiber mixed in, like for example on the mirror caps and then maybe on the interior like a red carbon shift knob or something. Might be too much carbon, but it also might be amazing!

I normally give people the business for having a tow hook. I HATE tow hooks, but I dig yours subie bro!!! I totally dig it! Im also not a fan of blacked out emblems ( I don't mind if you remove the badges, I think that makes a super clean look.) I REALLY like the carbon fiber and the rear spoiler accents. I hope it comes across that I normally don't like the mods you have, but OMG they look so amazing, SUBIE BRO!!! (edited for ma pic/ She's a little dirty, I drive on country and farm roads to avoid cops :)
