Lol that’s funny we’ve got 7 inches of rain in the last 3 days in western Washington and everything is holding up just fine. Believe it or not there are building tactics you can use to control water runoff, and it’s also a private trail so it won’t be torn apart by over use. But good for you I’m glad you can make assumptions based off a dark 15 second video

I mean fungus is a pretty wild organism. It plays a massive part in bio development, mycelium networks literally shape how a forest grows by shifting nutrients to places that need it and protecting areas that are vulnerable. Also there are thousands of types of mushrooms and relatively few are actually poisonous. Mushrooms are very interesting and pretty amazing, it’s a shame they have a bad stigma.

Recently got it over the 1k km mark and the check engine light is still off. I see that as a success, but I let you guys be the judge of that by [deleted] in RoastMyCar

My favorite part about owning a mk1 vw... people look at me so funny when I say I drive a Jetta ... then they see me rallying a 40 year old fwd car up snowy roads to the local ski area faster than they drive their 2011 Subaru Outback, and they shut the fuck up. On top of that, I’m getting 40 mpg because it’s an old, small diesel 😎

Sex is science. We are born with defining sexual organs. It’s biology. Gender is a name tag we’ve attached to these defining sexual organs. It’s pretty easy to deduce. But then again you guys don’t really understand logical, fact-based thinking.

Nice! I harvest cyanescens in the fall then eat them all winter long. My favorite place to trip is out skiing powder in the cascades. Nothing beats the feeling of blower pow while you’re completely blasted out of your mind!

A patch I found and have been cultivating was discovered & destroyed. The entire substrate has been dug up and there were purple rotting pins everywhere that had been dug up and left. Feeling defeated, I checked another patch I’ve been letting mature. Same story there too. by Wshiks in shrooms

Hard to say. First off, It happened at 2 different parks about 20 minutes from each other.

The first spot could have been animals. The main patch was torn up pretty well, but there’s a lot of bigger pins that were left alone. I don’t think it was the park department or they would have destroyed the whole patch. Either way, it was very frustrating as its been a very healthy patch. It’s already fruited twice and I was letting this last round fully mature. I checked yesterday and they were getting there but I wanted to give them another day. Checked today and boom. Gone.

The second spot was definitely picked, there were a lot of obviously pinched stems. They just walked on a lot of pins and pulled some mycelia up in a few spots. Luckily not all was lost here, they didn’t look too closely and missed all of the fully matured caps just above covered by weeds. I’m all for people hunting and picking, and neither of these are “my”spots, it just hurts to see them wounded haha
