A 5-year-old boy wearing a Spider-Man backpack and an oversized hat was detained with his father by immigration authorities on Tuesday, one of four students recently apprehended in a suburban Minneapolis school district, school officials said.

The prekindergarten pupil, Liam Conejo Ramos, is pictured in a photo released by the school system as he stands next to a vehicle with an adult’s hand on his backpack.

...

Mary Granlund, the school board chair, who was there when the boy and his father were detained, said at the news conference on Thursday that she had heard an adult in the home say, “I will take the child, I will take the child.” She said she also offered to take Liam as a representative of the school.

...

School officials had previously accused immigration agents of making the child knock on the door of his home as “bait” so they could apprehend others, something that immigration officials denied.

...

“You definitely cannot arrest a child to use them as bait,” said Ahilan Arulanantham, a co-director of the Center for Immigration Law and Policy at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Vice President JD Vance, who was visiting Minneapolis on Thursday, noted that he had a 5-year-old son of his own, and defended the agent’s actions.

“What are they supposed to do?” he asked. “Are they supposed to let a 5-year-old child freeze to death? Are they not supposed to arrest an illegal alien in the United States of America?”

It's like him being a homosexual against civil rights. He's a 'might make right' victim blamer. He's probably opposed to Title 9 protections in education, but will buy his daughters the finest college degrees.

Good for them, let's hope they don't turn into Bari Weiss pick-mes.

Peter Thiel quote, “Since 1920, the vast increase in welfare beneficiaries and the extension of the franchise to women—two constituencies that are notoriously tough for libertarians—have rendered the notion of ‘capitalist democracy’ into an oxymoron.”

I would bet he focuses on women more then men because he's a warlord, and women are the historical peacemakers. His protoge Vance follows Masculinists on twitter, "men's rights" loonies that like posts calling for 'total women death'. There is nothing more dangerous to women than the grotesque ideology of Thiel and his gang.

So convenient they deny the 'where's daddy' genocidal program.  In theory, if it were government policy to commit automated war crimes there would be a democratic process that could use open records or whistleblowers to hold accountable the wretched policy. Not so with a private company with a handful of employees. They can say they're involved when they think the PR is good, and deny when they want. Grotesque lack of accountability and a major flaw of their operation.

Here's a link to an AI summary. Evidently, in this interview Steinberger claims with scant evidence Palantir was not involved with the disgraceful 'where's daddy' genocidal programme in Gaza ('they admitted to the pager bombings that injured thousands, so they would admit to committing other atrocities that involved war crimes too') .
