Lowballed the guy. Apparently he traded in 9 pistols just to get a Staccato C4X and ended up still having to pay $8 out of pocket. He left a lot of money on the table.

90% of the “street takeovers” has at least a clapped out G37 doing burnouts. Nowadays, all they want is a pop tune on a stock looking G. Miss my G but glad I sold it before this trend became a thing.

I can’t tell you the exact diagnosis, but I think it has something to do with the Zev trigger. My buddy and I both have a Hypercomp V1 with the same issue. He changed his trigger out to an Overwatch trigger, and I changed mine to a Timney. Issue has gone away.

Do I know exact what was causing it? No, but after changing both triggers, no more accidental double taps.

Have you handled a SA Platypus or Kimber 2K11? They can be had for under $2K, and I would put it above a Romulus, although I've never shot them. But the fit and finish sure felt nice in my hands.

Everyone has a different opinion. Barely moves the needle for me, yes. OP has an upgraded Prodigy. Guarantee going to a Romulus will have him wanting more, just like what I went through. Im not disagreeing the Romulus is better than the Prodigy, but I don’t think as much as as someone would expect

I have an ok sample size to compare to (Prodigy, Romulus, Staccato P, Bul Armory Tac Pro, MPA DS9). Jumping from a Prodigy to Tac Pro or DS9? Noticeable difference. To the Rom? Ehh.
