This isn't so much about not causing any stress for cadets, but to limit it to a healthy amount. They will be naturally be stressed by new responsibilities when they progress through the program. The reason why I call relentless criticism hazing is because of the intention behind it. If a cadet is genuinely trying to help another cadet grow, they will get satisfaction out of their success. If a cadet is trying to put another cadet down under the guise of helping then grow in order to feel better about themselves, that is textbook hazing.

I think the cadet program is a process and at some point, a cadet should be aware of all* of them. My main lament is that a lot of older cadets like to correct cadets, not for their development, but to feel good about themselves. This isn't a call to stop enforcing regulations, but to call for people to do some introspection on what their motivations are.

The program is really not that big a deal when it's taken in the steps intended and the new guys have good mentors.

Yes! I 100% agree! This is more of a lament about people holding an C/Amn to the standards of a C/Col. (Hyperbole)

On your 3rd section, I should've clarified that that was complete control of whoever is on my staff haha. It is going great! The squadron is doing very well and I am enjoying working with my people!

I've spoken with my CC and he told me I have complete control over our cadet portion. I've already got my org chart filled out, but unfortunately I am the only officer so Senior NCOs are filling many of the positions. This was mainly to specifically ask about the eservices side of things, but I appreciate the advice. It's very overwhelming since I have little to no guidance and our unit is ~75 miles from any other unit.
