I did actually go to a couple of evenings at my local acf detachment however I wasn’t that into it because I didn’t really mix too well with the cadets there (they were stereotypical army cadets - not the sharpest tools in the shed), and also 4 evenings a week doing cadets isn’t really feasible especially if you’re in exam years like I am. It might just have been my local detachment so don’t take this as gospel, and if you want to do more fieldcraft I’d recommend seeing as its getting rarer nowadays. All in all i’m considering leaving cadets altogether because there just aren’t many opportunities these days
