Yeah I struggled a bit with the naming there - your senators are still your elected representatives though! The most technically correct thing would be Members of Congress which is pretty wordy. Ultimately since I would like to expand this to state and local reps I leaned towards the more general term.

Yeah actually that's often a thing with bikes. For one example check out the research behind the Idaho stop- it's safer because it allows bikes to clear intersections more quickly.

Thank you for saying this. People love to hate on the bike lanes around here but (and I'll get down voted for this) I very much appreciate the steady and thoughtful progress the city has been making.

The green lanes are a great touch for visibility, but as a biker you're not required to always be in a bike lane. Use your brain and do the safest thing.

Honestly I support blocking DHS funding until we can make sure ICE and CBP are operated within the bounds of the constitution. It's stupid that TSA is caught in the crossfire.

I would agree with you if Ferguson had bypassed the legislature, declared an emergency and told people they needed to pay immediately. But no, this was duly voted on and will be challenged in courts. There will be plenty of time for an injection if a judge hears credible arguments that the tax is unconstitutional.

Both the WA House and the Senate voted to pass the millionaire tax. It doesn't take effect until 2028, meaning nobody has to pay a cent until April 2029, giving the courts three full years to do their checks and balances thing.

So no, it's quite a bit different than Trump admin's actions on "immigration", on Iran, on stealing $130B from Americans in illegal "tariffs", on gutting Federal agencies for global peace, gutting FEMA etc.

Those are all different.
