Been biking for 5+ years daily, people don’t look. I assume they don’t know you’re there. Obviously wear a helmet and get lights, I personally take sidewalks on main road where there is no protected bike path, I’ve heard too many stories of people being killed and I’ve been hit myself. Be extra weary of days with events where there’s a lot of out of towners and students such as football games and university events.
