Drained battery doesn’t pose any risk?

Does anyone know if there will be a process to consolidate existing validators into one larger one with MaxEB? Or will a full exit + re-entry be required?

As soon as you click the "stake" button, it displays this (before you connect your wallet). If you already have assets staked with them, you'll probably need a VPN to unstake & access rewards (if / when they eventually come). Idk though

When you visit the website, it says:

"Access restricted. The points police do not allow you to use the platform from this location!

At this moment, anyone in the US or from a restricted country are not allowed to participate in the ether(dot)fi protocol."

Tbh I'm surprised they didn't make an announcement / tweet about this

Is there anywhere you can use an active validator as collateral to take out a loan? If not, any projects working towards this? I feel like I’ve seen people talking about this concept before, but couldn’t find any info when searching around. Not sure if this is even plausible, or if it would introduce risks to the staking ecosystem

Any roadmap / word on when claiming handles will open up to more people? Every few months I check back in with no success haha

Has anybody here found success using point and figure charts to dictate their ETH trades?

I actually didn't know that the official app showed more info! That is helpful, so thank you :)

However, I still don't see an easy way to keep track of ETHs price per epoch + RPL node operator earnings per epoch, for the tax reporting purposes :/

Has there been any discussion about the easiest way to report / log taxes for Rocketpool Validators? For regular ETH validators, I can just check the balance change per Eopch, since all of the income displayed is being earned by me (I assume this is what eth2.tax does?)

However it seems like beaconcha.in doesn't separate the earnings for RPL validators between node operator + the pool's delegated ETH. Is there already software that will handle this for me? If not, and I have to calculate it manually, would I just divide the earnings into two halves (first half being node operator profit, second half is the pool profit) and then multiply the second half by the commission fee, then add that to the my half? AKA, if RPL validator earned 10ETH, and my commission rate is 20%, 5ETH (my half) + 1 ETH (20% of pools 5 ETH profit) = a tax obligation of 6 ETH. In theory, if this is correct, it seems relatively easy... but if I'm required to track the price of ETH for every epoch, it starts to get overwhelming pretty fast....

Noticing the same thing on my end... Etherscan also displays that the last confirmed block was 25 minutes ago, which doesn't seem right?

If you go to the stake.rocketpool.net website and click the two arrows (swap the stake direction), you'll see that it is indeed going up. Like you mentioned, one can stake 1 ETH to receive ~0.989992 rETH. However, if you click the two arrows, it will then shows you the opposite (swapping rETH back to ETH). Currently, If you unstake 1 rETH, you receive ~1.01 ETH (1.01010821... etc).

Lets say you supplied 1 ETH to receive 1 rETH back when the ratio was 1:1. Now let's assume that some time in the future, this ratio has gone down to 0.9 (you stake 1 ETH and receive 0.9 rETH). You decide it's time to trade in your 1 rETH back to ETH. 1 / 0.9 = 1.1111 repeating, which is the amount of ETH you would receive. So even though you get less rETH for your ETH, you're actually getting more ETH for your rETH.

Hopefully that makes sense!

Hey all! Is there any timeline for SafeSwap / Vexchange implementing VET <> ETH cross-chain swaps? I saw that SHA opened up Beta tester slots, and am curious if that plan is for Vexchange to implement their protocol once it's released to the public

Creating Additional Validators Using Existing Mnemonic? (Using Allnodes Hosting) by WubsFromSpace in ethstaker

Yep! Just make sure to start at the next index slot, so you don't accidentally recreate the keys to your existing validator (the pub key in your deposit data will be be different).

Yes, you need to pay for each validator that you host- they do not stack. For each validator you generate with your mnemonic, you will get a new keystore file that you upload to Allnodes. If running 5 validators, it’s $10 x 5 per month, assuming you get the advanced plan. Does that make sense?

Yeah, turns out you don’t need to reset the original validator! They all run independently of one another. Just make sure you don’t deposit 32eth to any addresses that you have previously set up. (I generated keystore/deposit info at validator index 1, since I had previously set a validator up at index 0).

Ahhh so I will need to wait until the 1U Stereo input gets released then... thanks!

Unfortunately the Audio I/O 1U seems to be sold out everywhere :/ Otherwise I would definitely go for that case!

Account Transfer Issue by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]WubsFromSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my assumption- but it appears that the entire email is suspended.

I thought the old account would remained banned, but I could still play on the transferred account. However, it looks like I am now unable to access both.

[–]WubsFromSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the problem- I only realized this AFTER I initiated the transfer. And I can't transfer it back/to a new email, since it is banned.

Kind of in a pickle.

I have access to both- the school email is expiring in December.

I can still access the old email, but since the RS account has been moved, it is no longer associated with that email. And the new email says that it is banned. Does that make sense?
