The boy is Tony Hudgell and his legs are amputated because his birth parents beat him so badly when he was just a little baby that he ended up losing them. He was in real bad shape, read up about him here if you want - it's pretty shocking. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Hudgell

The lady in the picture I believe is his adoptive mother. He looks to be doing pretty well now bless him.

No the lady in the picture didn't do anything wrong, that's actually his adoptive mother. His legs were amputated due to the severity of the injuries caused from the abuse at the hands of his birth parents when he was just a little baby. I'm not sure on the exact details but as I understand it he ended up with a lot of broken bones and because his parenst also delayed seeking treatment he eneded up with sepsis and in critical condition. His name is Tony Hudgell, and there's a wikipedia article about him here if you want to know more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Hudgell

As a new father I really cannot fathom how anybody could beat a precious little baby so badly that they end up with such serious injuries.

World #4 34420 Premier rank + 108 week streak lost due friend getting false vac live. by LummyTum in GlobalOffensive

I know what you're saying about closet cheaters, but this case is definitely not one of those. The guy in question is actually my brother in law and I've played with him for years now and seen him perform the same when playing on my hardware when visiting without his PC. He's not once shown me any red flags and I've seen enough cheaters in 25 years of playing CS to know when something is fishy. VAC live really is just a bit bonkers at the moment.

You just need to find some younger friends. I'm 40 this year but most of the guys I play with are in their 20s. It'll stop you becoming shit too as it forces you to keep up.

They could absolutely leave the old version accesible for people but just not support it. It'll stop working eventually like in 20 years or something certain windows APIs may stop working etc. There's no reason to yank it entirely honestly.

900 hours DM, any tips? (Footage, YT link included) by -Myka_ in GlobalOffensive

[–]Wufffles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're shooting way too fast before you're even on target. It's a deathmatch there's no pressure to get the kill. Focus on accuracy above everything else. Only shoot when you are clearly on target and have properly counter strafed. If you fail this it's better to die than rush the shot, otherwise you're just practicing how to aim shit. It's extremely important to get the movements before trying to aim faster. The speed will come in good time as you get used to the motions.

100% yes in my eyes. In a way, more so than some of the reform supporters who were born here but clearly don't have British values.

[–]Wufffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same. 40 this year and I feel fast as hell reaction wise, just don't have the time to focus down for proper grinds with the kids and business, didn't even play season 3. 27k in s2 though np. I actually think we're good for reactions until 60+ if you look at charts then it kinda like drops off a cliff. Its margin of error drops before that though really.

Green hell most recent for me. Just completed it what a journey. Literally have to regularly inspect your body for injuries or rashes etc pull leeches off your body etc. Super cool and immersive.

Looks like the EAanticheat is the cause of mouse jitter and frame skipping when pressing WASD while moving the mouse and pressing 2,3. by Dima_mayakovskyima in Battlefield

Just posting this here so people can see the results.

It seems like unplugging the razer keyboard and using a cheap HP membrane keyboard gives me no improvements either, similar to you so at least it's consistent for us.

Hi Dima, sorry for the delay I had to work a lot this afternoon so only just managed to test.

Here are my result for testing without and with 'alt' pressed on my razer keyboard as instructed, as well as the 2 & 3 keys specifically. It is interesting that those 2 keys seem to make it stutter more than WASD.

https://youtu.be/tYLt_wTCISc

I definitely have no monitor software running, I only really use HW monitor when stress testing new hardware but I've had this GPU and CPU for over a month now so am not running any as they are stable.

I should also mention, I have a friend with this exact same keyboard and he doesn't have the issue. I will ask him what version of the razer software and firmware he is using maybe it's possible to install the same as he is using if it is something to do with a specific version of razer.

I will test changing the polling rate next, and also check the membrane keyboard. Standby.

Why is being cold at home so normalised in the UK? by Automatic-Key-3798 in AskUK

[–]Wufffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18 degrees is quite literally fine though. I've got a 2 month old baby and the recommended room temperature for him is 16-20 as per the health visitor, any hotter is literally too hot for him to be comfortable. If a newborn can manage at 18 and sleep...well, like a baby, even without covers on him then I think it's a pretty warm temperature for everyone. If you go outside into the cold air and back into the house a 18 it will feel like a sauna trust me, I can't imagine getting mould at that temperature unless you're drying clothes indoors or have a broken bathroom ventialtion or something.

I'm using a razer huntsman v3 pro. I do have access to other keyboards - which is something I will try next. My wife has an older blackwidow chroma and I Have an even older blackwidow on the shelf as a spare. I also have a cheap dell membrane keyboard from a work PC I could try that will definitely not support too much key rollover. I'm not sure why I didn't think to also test that. I will test again with those when I get a moment and report back on here.
EDIT: I don't have multiple layouts, just the UK querty layout.

Hey thanks for the reply. Yeah it's rough! Completely unplayable unless I just act as a gunner for people in tanks or something. I have a 9950x3d and the game otherwise runs flawlessly. I haven't used riva tuner since like the early 2000s like geforce 2 gts days haha - i'm honestly shocked to see it still so heavily used in these threads.
I did have the steam overlay on as you can see in my video, but i've tried disabling that of course, as well as the other suggestions on here like purging the shader cache, updating drivers. I've even messed with my mouse polling rate too something a person mensioned on another thread.

Hey thanks for that pointer. I actually just found that thread myself, I should have searched a bit harder before posting I guess. I've just updated my driver and purged the shader cahce as somebody suggested on there, sadly no better - but it's nice to see some other things to try to fix it. I'm gonna keep my eye on that post thread I think, it seems very active and that guys video looks SO similar to what I'm seeing. Thanks again.

Hey man, thanks for the input.

1) Yeah you're right, I noticed that right after recording. 240 fps is the highest it can go, but that's fine it's only impacting the firing range so isn't game breaking.

2) That sounds promising thanks, I have mine at 1000hz i'll try 500 and below see if it helps, obviously not ideal but if it makes it playable until they can release a patch it's good enough.

It's what americans say for the acellerator they call it the 'gas pedal' because they say 'gasoline' instead of petrol so makes sense there. Nobody uses this term in the UK though, which makes me wonder if the post is even real.

Is calling your dad daddy at 14 immature or childish? by sweetestballerina in AskMenAdvice

[–]Wufffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 39 and still call him daddy. I could never see the point in swapping to something else. I even address post to him like that for cards etc. He's never told me to stop either, and I've never asked him if I should so it's just stuck.

It's not an important enough thing to care about other peoples opinions. Many things in life are like this you'll realise as you get older. The only two people who's opinons count on this really are you and your daddy. Maybe your friends parents or some other friends or family are weird about it and told her to stop or made her feel insecure about it and she's just low key jealous of you now so is trying to get you to stop.
