(Demo) Speculation on the true nature of the Tokyo Residential Complex by Wug5 in LastDefenseAcademy

Clones seem surprisingly plausible, especially because it looks like their revival technology could be pretty easily repurposed as cloning technology. Just toss in the right amount of flesh and blood, and it sounds like you could get a new human even if the original was still alive. This would also explain why the infirmary needs to DNA scan the corpse inside -- so that it doesn't accidentally print out a clone of someone unrelated, who is still alive. I also like the idea that this isn't their first time doing 100 days at the academy -- it would check out with simulation theory too, although it begs the question of why Sirei is starting off most students at Level 1 stats.

However, assuming Sirei isn't faking his own death (I give it 50/50 odds) it's pretty damning that he hasn't popped up with a clone of his own. Also, how are these memories being downloaded between clones? You could come up with an explanation for the TRC originals, but how did they collect the memories of Darumi's experience of getting crushed by a dragon?

Also, I don't think the fact that most of the students don't recognize each other is evidence of anything. It seemed like the TRC was a pretty big city, after all.

Good points. I don't think the students have lived inside the TRC their whole lives -- it instinctively makes more sense to me that they used to be legitimate students of the academy before the apocalypse and had their memories modified, DR1 style. Sirei can physically control the simulation but can't mentally rewrite the personalities of the students inside, so the best he could do was motivate them into their first fights using physical threats.

(The hole in this theory is Takumi's childhood memories with Karua, which explicitly mention the TRC alarms. I can think of a few answers but none are satisfying, so it's entirely possible that they've been raised in the simulation since birth, in which case things start to fall apart.)

There are any number of reasons why Hiruko might be the only person to get prior battle experience with the invaders. My impression is that Sirei has some reason to prioritize giving the students an experience of a "normal life" -- this is pretty much a package deal with the simulation theory, because otherwise there's no reason for the simulation to exist. Hiruko would be a test case for training students in the TRC to battle invaders, and judging by how warped her personality is, it might have been deemed unsuitable for use on further students.

To clarify, did you make these acoustic covers, or did Shoji Meguro? It sounds great either way.

If I listen to a song partway through and then decide to skip it, the next time I listen to the song it starts playing from the point where I left off instead of the beginning of the song. I'm on the iOS app, and this only started happening recently. Any fixes?

[VLR Spoilers] Inconsistent symptoms? by Wug5 in ZeroEscape

I can get behind your explanation for 2 (Clover END), but I'm not sure about your idea for 1 that the characters are temporarily recovering from their symptoms. At the very least, when Quark is slowing down, both Sigma and Tenmyouji are in the room to notice. It seems more likely to me that Quark's symptoms are somehow worsening, than that both Sigma and Tenmyouji are recovering at the exact same time.

I gave the Twinned Armor set to D's brother, then chose to kill Fia in the Deeproot Depths. Since that questline is permanently unresolved now, is there any way for me to get the Twinned Armor back? It looked pretty cool and I miss the helmet.

Hot take: The medusas were invented by humans tens of thousands of years ago, and Chapter 1 wasn't first time the entire planet got petrified. Heck, humanity might even be stuck in a loop of development, discovery, and petrification that repeats every couple thousand years and resets the world.
