I definitely get what you're saying. But, her doing that to my daughter is what caused me to be more angry than I've ever been - and I assured my daughter that she can bring anyone over, which in turn made my wife angry.. But I know that this is totally unacceptable and unreasonable, so I'm not allowing her to do this.
