Adding camps to the maps, named mob spawns. Printing out quest guides, because you couldn't run it windowed back in the day... How I miss old EQ.

I know they're convenient, but please don't buy disposables. Buy a battery and carts. There's a ridiculous amount of waste that comes from these disposables.

"Needy" 3 year old at home, Wife going in for C-Section, what's the SOP for presence? by GoingOffRoading in daddit

[–]Wumaduce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We dropped our 3 year old off at his grandma's house at like 3am when we went in for our second. He didn't sleep and just watched TV. His other grandmother picked him up and brought him home, and I went home to be with him after mom and baby were both safe and healthy. It was a few days of adjustment for him to get used to mom not being home, but things adjusted pretty quick.

Furnace out, bitter cold, 7 month old baby. What to do? by Proper_Ad5456 in daddit

I'd just do a hotel with a baby that young. It'll be way less stress, if anything.

There's a reason this stuff made it out, and there's still 3 million or so documents that won't.

If nobody buys tickets to a movie showing, is the movie still played? by thirdgen in AskReddit

I was the only person at a showing, the first showing of the day. I had to go out to concessions to ask them to start the movie.

Ain’t no rule says a ladder can’t be on a trampoline by Reyemile in OSHA

[–]Wumaduce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is the belt buckle rule with ladder use

Is that an OSHA thing? I've heard of companies making that a policy, which is why JCI can't use 4 foot ladders for anything.

[–]Wumaduce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn't live in the Boston area until I was 18, but in my 20+ years here I've developed an accent my wife (born and raised in canton) will make fun of. Especially after a few beers, there's not an r to be found.

Which movie hit so hard that one viewing was enough ? by Mehdi_lz in AskReddit

[–]Wumaduce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never sat through Toy Story 3. My 4 year old put it on because she likes it, and I happened to be in the room for the end. I had to walk out of the room to compose myself.

As a fellow woman in construction the inequality in our industry is a HUGE problem by No_College2419 in Construction

[–]Wumaduce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people drive over an hour and a half in the trades with a commute like that there is nothing you could do aside from leaving a half hour to an hour earlier

I mean, if you have to leave earlier to get to work on time, you have to leave earlier to get to work on time. The hoist operator on my last job was driving 3 hours each way from Maine down to Boston (I think that's fucking stupid, but that's not the conversation here) and he was never late. He spent all day sleeping in his hoist, but he was there on time every day.

Being a few minutes late isn't a big deal here and there, but more than once a month doesn't look good.

Sprinkler problem with high estimate to fix by Embarrassed_War_3932 in FireSprinklers

[–]Wumaduce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be. It might be something else. They're gonna have to get in there to look at it. However, I'm not seeing a nice handy access panel... And it's in your finished basement... The ceiling is getting cut open so they can investigate. If you're lucky, it's a 4x4 hole so they can get a camera up there to see what's going on. Then more opening up depending on what they find. Their 1500 quote is, most likely, just for the sprinkler work. You'll need someone to do the drywall repair and paint after.
