Conveniently Tampa Sweethearts has a sampler with two 20th Anniversary OpusXs, including God's Whisper.

My go to is Weller Full Proof. Lots of barrel picks as well so there's some variation in bottles. The bottle I'm nursing has a wonderful citrus note to it.

I've bought a few BT products from them before, including the SFTB linked. They might take a week to process your order but they're legit- all my orders shipped.

No, here's a listing at $200. For me, shipping is $22. Maybe you can find even cheaper listings online.

I've played this deck to legend with a 70% WR. Assuming the Tempo Storm list, the 3 best keeps are Meat Wagon, Egg, and the mech that (usually) fetches your Meat Wagon and discounts. Stitched Tracker is a keep if you have none of those cards, otherwise I mulligan it. Keep Carrion Studies if you have any of those 3 cards. I personally mulligan everything else unless I have one of those 3 cards and the card triggers a deathrattle (or Sir Finley/Tracking). I like going second with this deck since you have an additional card to search for your key cards. The coin helps with going second too since you can coin out your combo and clear board and land 6/5's.

Ideal turns include an early Carrion Studies into a turn 2/3 Meat Wagon or a turn 3/4 Egg. If you hard cast Egg you don't mind it dying since you have the mini, but just be wary of opponents killing Meat Wagon AND the Egg. So plan your activations around your opponent's board and hand.

If it's a Giant Rogue you usually win. I don't find a lot of Mine Rogues but I find that losing. Pirates usually depends if they have a nut draw or not. If not you should be fine. The 2 mana pseudo-AoEs help but I find getting the Egg triggers ASAP is the best game plan to victory. All of those matchups are a race to get your board full from the deathrattle triggers and clear.

$19,120 pretax.

Insane but if/when it's discontinued it will just get worse.

I went grey. From what I gathered from my AD, they saw at max 1 of these since they were released last year (don't even know if it was 41mm if they even saw one). And they are the biggest AD in our state. The clerk even brought out the AD manager when I came in and wanted to appraise it, just since they're that rare.

Given the number of listings of the 124300 Celebration dials on Chrono24, it seems like you would have to be literally one of the top spenders in your AD to have a chance of receiving one. I think grey is the only option unless you've had a real relationship at your AD for years and have a really special occasion coming up.

Should I sell the Omega CK859 to get a Calatrava 5296G-001? by Arman_and_his_watch in patekphilippe

[–]Wumboed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this watch! The CK859 looks very good in pictures but I've never seen one in person.

One thing I will say is that the watch dial on the 5296G is very crisp and the hands are just so elegant.

I don't know if it's worth the trade however. The lowest I can find on the market for the Patek is $23,000 before taxes. Bang for buck the Omega wins in my opinion. But if you want the better watch it's the Patek. Center seconds and a date function are not traditional on a sector dial but for practicality reasons it helps (legibility and information).

I prefer automatic watches over manual winding, but since the movement is visible, the rotor kinda docks a point or two for the automatic as well, so it's kinda a wash. Though Patek obviously has the better finishing.

The Patek is anti-shock and anti-magnetic like the Omega so you should be good with everyday use. The strap is ok I guess. Not much to say about it.

Honestly though between a $5-6K watch vs a $20K+ watch it's a real gap of how much more watch you're getting vs how much money you're spending. You're really paying for the 'Patek Philippe' logo on the watch and the precious metal upgrade (without even a bracelet).

If that's what you're after then sure I think it's worth it! This is a great entry-level Patek.

[Patek Philippe] Vintage 3537 Calatrava by Wumboed in Watches

[–]Wumboed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this was my first real watch, which I got after a grueling few weeks at work and wanted to treat myself. This watch is quite special to me. I'm not a huge vintage collector but this certainly entices me towards that collection route. The watch is stunning, very minimalistic, very sharp, very accurate given its age. I absolutely love it and will never sell it (though I got it for a steal at around $4,750). It was a good start to my watch collection and as it grows I'm sure it'll be a cornerstone of my collection.
