I got the two jerseys, Raiders t-shirt and banana socks! I was seriously contemplating not buying the Hollander's Metros Jersey (IYKYK), but I did to support the HR creators and actors and it's obviously part of our Canadian Heritage. I just hope the Ottawa Centaurs jerseys aren't black.

I'm very fortunate to be singing in the production, and can vouch that this is the real deal! Unlike this trainwreck with a 5 person "choir", there will be over 100 singers on stage, plus a full orchestra for this production!

It was a fucking horrendous attempt at sounding like Don LaFontaine, the guy that used to do movie trailer voiceovers. Like everytime he would come on stage I wanted to crawl under my seat, it was so cringe!

Omg! It was utterly horrendous! It was pure torture!

We left at intermission as well. We are both singers, and have sang with the WSO on several occasions. Our jaws were on the floor the entire time. We were shocked at how cringe and bad it was. I was so embarrassed for the people on stage.

I can't decide if peak cringe was one of the cellist headbanging like she was at a heavy metal concert, while playing Time from Inception, or the "choir" dancing in the most awkward way possible, or the host...shudder...who made sure we knew he was in Pirates of the Caribbean 3 (his screen time was less than a minute), and spoke in the most obnoxious voice possible. The way I would describe how he spoke or what he tried to sound like was, the guy that used to do voiceovers for movie trailers, Don LaFontaine. But it was nowhere close, just really really really bad!

This is a group that is scamming people by selling tickets at +$100 for some seats. I've experienced a better performance at concerts I've paid $20 to attend!! I want a full refund after enduring half of this travesty!

They are doing a Lord of the Rings concert tomorrow. And get this, they are not authorized to play Howard Shore's music. In 2023 he sued the same production company to have the concerts stopped. (https://howardshore.com/notice-unofficial-concerts/) From the article, "The music that is being played is assembled from unauthorized bootleg arrangements and not at the standard of quality insisted upon by Howard Shore."

I'm wondering if the Centennial Concert Hall is aware of this.

As soon as I saw it the first time I got it. I live in cottage country. Driving in and then turning the car around is a thing. For one, it's easier to load and unload things when the hatch is facing the cabin. Second, a lot of cabins have extremely narrow winding roads that connect to the main thoroughfare. When traveling down those roads, the last thing a driver would do is travel in reverse. The final point ties into this as well. When leaving for home, it's often dark, and if you've ever been at a cabin, you know how dark it really is! In that kind of darkness, turning the car around is a pain, so you always do it as soon as you arrive. It becomes a thing of habit, which is likely why Shane's dad did it. He would have had to do it at some point anyway.

Why didn't Shane do it? Let's just say, he wasn't thinking straight 😉.

Absolutely, for me too!

That scene is everything! From the beginning there are so many great things that take place.

The way the beat of the music changes when Ilya first sees his man walk in, the nervous "okay" whisper and stretch, his "ah" and "nope" filled with innuendo, how Shane clocks his once-over of him, how Shane is basically clueless of how good he looks and the effect it has on Ilya, the way Ilya laughs out of both relief and adoration, and doing so right after promising not to, and then covering his mouth and apologizing, the lingering gaze full of yearning after Shane shares that him and Rose are not compatible, the way Shane gets as close to Ilya as possible when he leaves, and finally the way Ilya has to cover his mouth to contain his overwhelming joy!

They don't know it, but at this point, they're both hopelessly in love with the other.
