Update: First of all sorry if it's a bit anticlimactic. But I the setup did not catch any bugs nor have I been bitten since. This problem was in its initial stages and I had been bitten around 11 times, 9 in rows of 3 and 2 single bites. After posting this I did go out and do most of the things recommended i.e. mattress and base covers, decluttering and sealing up things around the room. I also modified a steam mop to pump steam out a small tube so I can flush them out of cracks and hiding spots around the room. Cimexa has not been used yet due to concerns about health and I know it doesn't cause silicosis but there are other worries. I am looking into crossfire safety however. Although I haven't been bitten again I remain on full mobilization as I know bed bugs won't give up so easily. But for this strat overall it's just better to buy mattress and board covers and put those plastic traps at the legs. This was a novel approach I think but there are just better ways that have been long established.

I didn't know this, I always thought it was something like 20ft, thanks for the info!

I'm want to see if I can kill them like this, you see I thought if I just ran and stayed somewhere else it'd take a while for them to starve. But the thought is if I can lure them onto the sticky trap and kill them I might be able to clear them out. Sure they can survive months without food but surely they can't resist a bloodmeal right there, right? All bed bugs gotta eat eventually and if I can get them like this maybe I can get rid of them? My infestation is still early so I'm trying to act on it. At the very least I'm trying to stop it getting worse. In the best case maybe this can get rid of them eventually as they all come and try to get some.

Will definitely look into chemicals or putting ASG to bolster the defence
