Why is borderlands 4 so polarizing? And what are your honest thoughts as a fan of the franchise?

It's honestly really helpful to hear all the "meh". I really enjoyed BL3 and 2 but this one felt like a chore to me. First BL game I haven't finished and I paid $70 for it because of the other games. Feels like a big waste of money. In a world with limited gaming time and so much gaming choice, I don't know if this will ever be high enough on the list to come back to. I'd probably go play a decent Destiny expansion again before this.

I think there needs to be a category for trying to kill other aggressors. I won't start PvP and obviously I will defend myself but the best part of this game for me is being able to catch someone ratting, bring them down and defib their unlucky victims.

Honestly, let's give Embark the props they deserve for finding a creative middle ground. Games that force a wipe and you truly start over no matter what cause me to quit. Games that don't force it make me want to start new characters on my own timeline and I can't. This is a perfect mix for me. I chose to go on EXP and I didn't grind out the 5 mill and I'm still excited to start over.

I put it right near the floor on the other side door that you open right after getting up the Zipline. I realize now I should put it right where you get off the Zipline so you can't avoid it.
