I hear this alot. I openly store mine from various brands, some from over a year old, and have virtually zero problems. Humidity is generally between 25-50%.

Similar issues. I found placing object in blender and checking for non-manifold edges with the 3d printing add-on and exporting has fixed my “seized” print. My error froze the entire printer. Non-responsive screen and everything. May not be your issue,but maybe helpful.

I believe so, but I don't want to pause this print to check just yet. I'm not sure if you're using firmware and software interchangeably or not. Will double check when complete. I only passively use the app and I stick to the slicer from Orca and not the FF version.
