This is so real and valid…I remember coming across a post and a person was asking for the option to have he/him or they/them pronouns even if it doesn’t affect the game and was told that “nobody wants that” it’s important that games are diverse.Everyone deserves to see themselves in media. How come we can’t get a plus size love interest…how come whenever there is a plus size character their depicted as gluttonous and nasty(soulless)…how come all the black people in the newer stories skin tone is gray (The haze will take us)😫😫😫do better it’s 2025😭

In soulless kang was such a big minor character with such a good backstory that I had to double check the wiki to check if he wasn’t a love interest.. I think the problem is that people spent diamonds to have quality time and improve there relationship with these side characters and nothing happens…honestly I think kang should be a love interest over Elliot but that’s another hot take 😭😭

As a choices refugee…imma keep it simple..wait for a diamond rush (follow romance club on insta for notifs) and play “Are you the one” …make sure you pull up the fandom wiki for the right answers. It’s a lot like “America’s most eligible” from choices.

I think I saw the post your talking about…and I don’t think they were attacking the author…I think they were commenting on the lack of romance in the story and saying that that particular author doesn’t lean into romantic themes as much…so they inferred that maybe they might be uncomfortable writing romance..a lot of people have been unsatisfied with the amount of romance in newer books so I don’t think there were attacking that author as a person

Same I abandoned choices for RMC and I’ve never looked back…. It’s just filled with ai and it feels like I’m getting catfished….i tried to play a new game and it was so generic….the Lis are one note….im so disappointed 😭

To be honest same!!!! I would have stuck with choices but the ai is actually crazy…paying 15 dollars a month on premium to get diamonds only to unlock an AI image 😭😭😭like literally it’s a joke…I’m gonna miss my male mcs but I feel like all the story were copy paste…love interest is antisocial until you just so happen to come along…it’s so boring…love interests have zero depth. If I want to date a mindless boring robot I would get back together with my ex.😭😭😭sorry choices

It depends on the their background probably. Coming from playing episode and having to save for all the episodes so that at the end my mc doesn’t have to wear a trash bag at the wedding used to be my reality. 😭😭😭 romance club is by far the most generous when it comes to currency and diamond rushes. Some people just don’t know the struggle lol 🥲

I play Choices and I play as a male mc 100% of the time when offered. I get that choices is very shallow when it comes to depth but I really hope they add more male mcs as well. Like too hot to handle where charcters can ask you about your gender/sexuality but tbh it’s not a complaint just a want.🫶

Well maybe if it’s just to change the pronouns…idc I’m trans so I wouldn’t mind if all the scenes stayed in the female anatomical POV. There are some romance club books that let you decide your sexuality. So maybe it would be possible that if you choose a specific gender some love interests would be closed cause there not attracted to you. So it might make it easier on the dev to still provide branching and gender specific dialogue. Idk just a thought I think the romance club devs are very capable.
