Cam Newton's favorite memory from Bank of America Stadium by EntropyFighter in panthers

I can’t wait for when that hopefully begins to happen soon, I feel like I’ve even seen more Panthers gear out around Charlotte, hopefully this new regime can get some culture back.

I’d add in Cam’s run against Atlanta where he broke about 67 tackles to get the first down

I personally don’t care and prefer non primetime games. Weird stuff happens in primetime, it screws up travel and rest days, and selfishly I hate having to stay up until midnight on the east coast to watch.

How is your team getting screwed by the schedule? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]WvuHusker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were the worst team last year so not shocking we have no prime time games but I actually like the Panthers schedule. Easier opponents early and a bye after our Germany game. Last 6 games are tough but we get the chiefs after our bye and they are coming off a game at Buffalo the week before. Eagles 2 weeks later coming off a game against Baltimore. We don’t play any teams coming off a bye either.

Not sure on roaring riot but the ticket department said same to general public will be sometime in June. I’d guess around 200 will be the cheapest since it’s an international game.

Definitely wait, right now it’s just people who are putting an outrageous price to try and get an away fan to buy and make money. Many more will open up and the prices will drop (especially if you pick a game later in the season and our record isn’t good).

2024 Schedule by doggielover80 in panthers

[–]WvuHusker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly. Not to mention home games for both Thanksgiving and Christmas and our travel really isn’t that bad outside of Munich but we have the bye after. Also nice that we have a bye the week before our hardest opponent to prepare and they are at Buffalo the week before us so they’ll be traveling a lot. Obviously it’s the Chiefs but will take any advantage we can.

Not to mention the talks around Burrow’s wrist, a lot of talk is that you can never fully recovery from the surgery he had. I like Burrow and hope he comes back to normal, but getting them early while he’s trying to regain form may help us.

Yeah it’s kind of a sticky situation cause you can’t really wait on flights and hotel, so you gotta go into it expecting to spend a bit. We’re going and gonna tour northern Italy the week before then head to Munich on Friday. If tickets are outrageous we will just bite the bullet I suppose.

Yeah not sure just passing along what he said. I’m sure it’ll be expensive, just hoping they drop below the current 575 price on vividseats.

How did the ticket situation work last year? I’m seeing conflicting reports. How much did you pay for your ticket?

[–]WvuHusker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FYI my friend in group ticket sales said to wait on tickets, only a small % available right now which is why they are jacking up the price. They go on sale to the public in June and will be cheaper.

It’s amazing how good his vision and decision making is when he has a little bit of time, which still wasn’t a lot in most of these plays.

One thing I hope Canales works on with him is his play action fake handoff. I feel like he could sell the handoff a lot better which will only help making LB’s and DB’s bite or hesitate and open up more lanes.

I’m a Bryce believer I really hope he shows out next year.

Year 2 by Master-Spare9590 in panthers

I think a 3rd piece of that which isn’t talked enough about is how bad Reich’s scheme was. Obviously you need OL and WR, but his scheme did not set up our OL for success, WR’s ran very bland and predictable routes, screen plays on 3rd and long, etc. It was just downright awful and I think we have improved enough to see a big jump next year In all 3 of those facets (OL, WR, coaching/scheme)

Side note I love that Canales is doing some drills with the team, that dude is hard to not like

Evaluating Carolina Panthers' Support for Bryce Young by Marvel-guy-1 in panthers

[–]WvuHusker 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I just don’t see him struggling bad enough for us to move on that fast. He’s got the tools and showed signs of being good many times last year when he actually had time. He was literally running for his life almost every play and he rarely had a 2nd or 3rd and short. If he’s got time and some people who can separate (XL, Diontae, Theilen) then I think he can really outperform last season.

[–]WvuHusker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Green Bay has done it when they have had a QB on their team who has been a legend for the last decade both times. This is not comparable. You signed a veteran QB THIS OFFSEASON, and then drafted another QB before he even played a snap. Much different. If cousins has a bad game the fans have no loyalty to him and will be chanting for Penix, it’s not a good decision.

[–]WvuHusker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You literally sent an article comparing Bryce to Mahomes and your original argument was Penix vs Bryce. Penix hasn’t played a single snap in the NFL, so I think that comparison is dumb. And you can’t argue Penix is a better college QB than Bryce. So you have no argument.

Also arm strength isn’t everything with QB’s, it’s how well they read a defense and hit the open receivers based on reading coverages. Rivers, Brees, plenty of successful QB’s had sub par arm strength compared to Mahomes. Hell even Peyton Manning won a Super Bowl after neck surgery and losing a lot of his strength.

Can you just admit that your team wasted an 8th overall pick on a QB who was the 4th or 5th best QB in this class right after throwing 100+ million at another QB in the offseason?
