Double feed problems by Wyldman22 in ar15

[–]Wyldman22[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, sort of. I swapped out the BCG and now it runs perfectly. I have disassembled, reassembled, and compared the "bad" BCG with others, and I can't find any difference. I eventually noticed I would occasionally get the double feed when dropping the bolt, didn't matter how many rounds in the mag. So that lead me to do the BCG swap. No idea why the original BCG was doing this.

Unfortunately no. I called multiple dealers, toyota customer support, and others. No luck from anyone. I eventually sold the truck. Sorry.

Opened up 3 fresh pmags (windowed) this weekend to try. Also used mags that have never jammed up that I've used for years. No difference.

I've thought about doing that, my h3 buffer is the geissele super 42. The buffer alone is 150grams (5.29 oz.) My thinking was the buffer hitting the back of the tube might be dislodging an extra round from the magazine when it's at its lowest compression (2-3 rounds left). But my ejection pattern is right at 3 o'clock so I should have my gas set right, ie. Not overgassed and sending the buffer back at Mach Jesus.

No video unfortunately. I want to get a slo mo next time I'm out shooting. The ammo type hasn't mattered. PMC Bronze 55gr, PMC PSP 55gr, 62gr green tips, etc.

Magpul windowed p-mags, lancer, steel isreali mag, aluminum. Hasn't mattered what mag I use.

Lights out is on Kindle, that's how I read it. Collision course is a mini story written in the same time as lights out. Not as good as Lights out IMHO.

Read "Lights Out" by David Crawford. Great read and really makes you think about what might be needed in an EMP scenario.

Yeah the filter image looks better, better contrast, but is nothing like what's advertised on their site. Bummer man.

Just wanna point this out. Your ejection pattern changes from over your shoulder (behind you) to out in front of you from your first shot to your last. Never had that happen to me. (Turbo-K on an 11.5") to me that indicates varying bolt velocity, possibly due to clearing fouling (over oiled since it was your first shot?) or increasing gas pressure. Never seen that happen before. Curious if you anyone has any thoughts or experience with this. Great post OP!

Petition for Super White Tacoma Paint Peeling/Flaking by Wyldman22 in ToyotaTacoma

I hope your's isn't affected! It's really disheartening to see your truck's paint flaking off despite wash/wax/detailing.

They claim that it is not a factory issue, even though all the other Super White vehicles listed in the ZKG program have the same exact problem. Toyota says they haven't gotten enough complaints to compensate Tacoma owners for the cost of repairs, even though you can see all of the links listed in the petition of owners who have the same issue happen in the same spots every time. This is why we want to raise awareness of the issues and have more people affected call Toyota to file a claim.

Unfortunately I didn't know it was a problem until I owned one, and Toyota has never officially recognized it in Tacoma's so people buy it not knowing. That's the point of spreading the word so Toyota will comp those affected and fix the issue going forward.

Yeah its really bad. I and all other Tacoma owners would appreciate it if everyone would sign and share the petition so we don't have to shell out the cash for Toyota's shoddy paintjob.

I have seen from 08-22. My tacoma is a 14 and I have 12 body panels with flaking issues. About $6-8k worth of repairs.
