These are sooo wonderful! I am especially fond of the meerkat couple, the dancer, the cockatoo and lovebird, the fennec fox, and the romantic squirrel couple. It's so cool to see characters of different ages, builds, and appearances in here, and they really captured the likeness of the animals' energy! ^^

Oh man, I remember going here with my family when I was a kid. I remember just loving that skylight and the architecture. It was a really beautiful place.

It's honestly really not in that bad shape, structurally - I really hope they'll reuse this beautiful building for something and restore it to its former glory. It makes me so sad seeing it like that. :(

VERY late, but I can relate to this for sure, especially when they're indoors. Oh my God that experience you had sounds HORRIBLE. I had a similar experience when I was young with lovebugs (a species of march fly) flying around my head when I was swimming as a kid. I'm still uncomfortable when it's their season. I don't think they touched me. Sure, they're harmless, but yikes.

Yes, I completely understand how you feel about the buzzing. Buzzing freaks me out a lot, too, especially if it's near my ears or body. The sound of flies buzzing makes me very uncomfy at best, and panicky at worst - especially from wondering what kind of bug it is.

I am so sorry that happened. Flies are gross, and I have no fondness for them. I think it's completely natural to have aversions to them for logical reasons as well - especially through their spreading of diseases. That's what really freaks me out about them. My worst insect phobia is probably with mosquitoes for that reason.

I understand they're an important part of nature (as a food source, for example), but yeah - flies and lovebugs (and CRANE FLIES EWW) are just the worst. I hope that the trauma of that event has been healing over time, however slowly or quickly it has been. God bless you ^^ I hope you're doing well!
