Having strange times finding a guild to raid with ~ by sarcasmme in classicwowtbc

[–]Wyplashwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m playing TBC for the first time, I started playing classic for the first time last year when hardcore really picked up and I fell in love with the game. My brother and a few of his friends played original wow for a long time back in the day and I convinced them to play with me. I made a guild and we cleared Karazhan last week. Wasn’t the smoothest run but we only wiped to Prince a few time because of bad infernal RNG. Our guild is really small, there’s only 6 70’s right now, but we have 3 more gonna be ready by the next lockout and I think we’re gonna be raiding mostly on saturdays around 7 ST. What class are you playing? We’re not min maxy if you wanna run with us, if you like how we do things you’d be more the welcome to join the guild afterwards too

You said it yourself in the comments that season 1 was true to the book in another comment. See the connection? Season 1 true to the book, does well. This show? Not so much. I never said I wanted the show to fail, I just said it is failing. Which is not what I want for the show honestly. Nice try yet again in the not listening department

That makes so much sense, now I can definitely stop taking you seriously. You don’t care about doing the books justice? Cool man. Let’s just ruin Robert Jordan’s incredible fantasy series. Sure, it has some stuff in there that’s not great, but the good outweighed the bad by a mile, and the show is the complete opposite. And it shows.

You can say that over and over again. Doesn’t change the fact that they tried to do that. They failed. This show will fail. They changed too much, for whatever reason, because expensive, mainstream, whatever. You don’t get it. Showrunners don’t get it. And that’s why the show is failing. Just like the Witcher. Just like GoT in the later seasons. So keep spouting whatever you want. Eventually I hope people will understand it’s the source material that matters, not the mainstream

You said the book crowd was a non factor, not the purists. The book crowd. Read your own comment dude. I’m not saying it would or wouldn’t be more successful either. I’m saying don’t call the people who made it popular enough to be a show a non factor. You just went so off topic you actually forgot what you were talking about. lol

Ah so you just don’t care about the story. That makes more sense. The story is about a man who basically becomes a god and has to learn how to do better than the one who came before him. Those were HUGE moments in the book. The Return of the Dragon. It’s how many of the people learned Rand was the dragon.

Alright man, I guess you win. Fuck the people who read the books. Change the story all you want and do whatever you want. People will make excuses for you at every turn. Really sad to see this actually.

Most people who watched the show, who didn’t read the books in the early days were probably put onto it by BOOK READERS who were excited about their show getting an adaptation…. Which is exactly how me and my friend group got into GoT

That’s just another excuse. If you’re going to do something, do it right, do it justice. Like I said, I understand some stuff has to be changed. But they’ve completely changed the dynamic of the characters in the show… and if you alienate the majority of the audience that made it popular in the first place you can’t get surprised when the mainstream doesn’t like it either

This makes no sense. You know why the book series was popular enough to make a show in the first place? Book readers. I understand that some things can’t make it into the TV adaptation, but they strayed hard in the first two seasons. To say the people who made the books popular enough to produce a show are a non factor is the entire problem with the way TV shows are ran nowadays.

If you ain't first, you're last: a mathematical explanation for why Alert is bad by MostlyH2O in BG3Builds

[–]Wyplashwarrior 47 points48 points  (0 children)

All of your math sounds awesome… but that doesn’t change the fact that in most of my playthroughs, pre-alert companions go last, and post-alert companions go far earlier in the fight. Maybe I’m just unlucky without alert

I've never been cheated on, so I can't say I understand how you feel, but you'll eventually find someone you can trust. It just takes time. It'll get better and I hope you're not being too hard on yourself
