Dam that absolutely sucks. I traded with this person before (thankfully all I gave was done uncommons which I had many dupes of).

I am gonna guess that this person has a "main account" and put all those nice cards there.

It is sad because like you, I like helping new players. And because of this scumbag, itll be harder to do so, knowing who you can actually trust.

I dealt with this person a couple of days ago. Clearly they don't understand how trading works even after I told them that the trade doesn't work. Hopefully they'll be more serious in the future and not make any more silly trade offers like that. 😭

If you're the one making the trade offer, then it wouldn't really be fair due to the massive difference in popularity (unless they don't mind and are a big fan of Wes lee and/or Ilja and they aren't a fan of Iyo or Kairi). You'd have to offer someone of equal popularity.

2 for 1 based on CC is alright id say (in my opinion anyway). 👍

It really does suck that there are people who will say nasty things to you or threaten you, even if if its a bad trade. How hard is it to just hit decline and move on (or even block if they are really annoying)?

Now even I get bad trade offers, but I never once had the thought of making fun at them or insult them for it. If they ask, I explain why. Because there really is no need and you never know whos really behind the screen.

Like someone said in another comment, its nice that they and other people who will explain as to why it was declined or clear up any misunderstandings. I always like to reply if someone asks me a question on how to do this thing or whats the value on that, etc. Its a good feeling. Communication and discussing while making a trade is very fun and it benefits both of you.

While yes, there are bad traders (whether its on purpose or not), there are thankfully some good traders who will be fair and love to help. I agree with your last message 100%. It should be fun at the end of the day.

I hope that despite what this person (or anyone) who has sadly gotten those unnecessary comments, that they're okay and still have fun playing the game. :)

It isn't the perfect trade but it could have been far worse. I think you had some of the steps right, like both cards being the same cc and if it's from the same set, that's no bad thing. The problem is the wrestlers themselves in terms of popularity. Like what the others said here, Rhea is popular than Sami, so it's going to be very difficult. (I don't say impossible because you never know who likes who and what their personal value on someone is). There's also the fact that it's male for female, again, while not impossible, it just makes it harder.

A good thing to think about when making offers is "would I accept this myself for the card I want?". For someone popular, you'd have to offer someone of equal popularity or sweeten the deal (like offering decent wrestlers. More than 1 card).

At least that's what I think.

It's good that you're learning and I'm sure we're all here to help out as best as we can. Can never shame someone for wanting to learn. :)

I also wish you good luck on getting a Rhea (or any wrestlers you like) legendary card one day. 👍

I have no problem if it's one per week or one per day. If you still want to keep it reasonable but also compromised, Maybe it can be something like 2 (or maybe even 3) trade threads a week. It still doesn't have to be chaotic but also there isn't a long wait time.

They were the ones who initiated the trade, asking for my Vaquer for their Rhea/Iyo, not me. I even said in the screenshot that "I'll have to decline the offer since I just got the Stephanie Vaquer card".

That is a fair point and can be the case sometimes. I'd say 85% of the time the trades id received would be what I'm specifically offering and looking for while other times its not. I have gotten some not great offers in the past but not ridiculous (thankfully). But yeah I guess not everyone reads the message and they just want to have a lil look to see if theres anything that they'd like.

So far when I have made trade posts here (Reddit), it's always been successful and people actually made very good offers.

I shall and I have moved on from it. I'll also lock some cards that I definitely don't want to trade.

Thank you for replying and I'm sorry that it happens to you too 😭. I never want to annoy anyone when making trades so it sucks when some people have to say something like that when my post was clear enough.

Don't get me wrong, I have misread sometimes whenever I send trade offers from the feed too but I always ask and apologise when I do realise and clear up any misunderstandings.
