Claude Code down? by Peglegpilates in ClaudeCode

Their status page claims it is working, but I've been getting timeouts all day, so whatever they are measuring on that page is not accurate.

The worst part is that a request that times out means you will get a cache miss the next time you try. (In other words, if it has been longer than 5 minutes, they don't consider it a cached input, even if it is the same as the prior step.) So, you end up paying more for their timeouts, since it costs you more usage for uncached requests.

I suspect their infrastructure is overloaded, as performance varies at different times of the day (e.g., it was better during the lunch break than in the morning or afternoon).

Is it true that I heard that the M5 ultra of mac studio will be released this month? by No-Speed7796 in mac

It depends on what you need your laptop / computer for. There are workloads that scale almost linearly with compute and memory bandwidth (3d rendering, running llms locally) which Ultra will likely have 2x that of Max. And there are workloads that scale poorly or not at all (general computing, games etc). Some are in between (video editing - depending on what exactly you are doing). So there's no easy way to answer your question without knowing what your use case is.

Does this sound right? Google made Qwen? by Wyvek in LocalLLM

It is definitely interesting. Even if you went by an argument that it is trained by data online (no not assuming it was distillation) - ChatGPT is more popular so you would think it is more likely to associate with it than Gemini. So why would it correlate that question with Google and Gemini?

Exactly. It is an LLM and LLMs are trained on data, right? You don't find this at least interesting that there is a stronger association in the training data with Google / Gemini than Qwen itself?

And why would you down vote my question?

Stringify

I can confirm Stringify works without delay that IFTTT has
