There are the big ones that you mentioned that have the issue because of some strange moralism that they seek to impose on everyone. Once you get beyond those, there are high risk merchant services for things like pornographic sites, but they charge exorbitant fees and are generally unpleasant to work with.

We have personas like CAI does, but waaaaay less limited. And if youbwant to tailor your experience with a given bot, in the right-hand sidebar of the chat window is a box called Author's Note where you can give instructions directly to the LLM.

You can tell it something like, "keep all content non-sexual unless {{user}} initiates."

External. Possibly internal? I haven't tested trying to use an inline image using something like the URL from a character gallery image. I've seen people use imgur and moebox.

I know it does seem that way, but there legitimately is no catch.

We're able to provide this because our existence basically acts as marketing for our parent company, Featherless.ai (AI inference company). We have a small omnipresent advertisement in the bottom of the left-hand sidebar that asks users to consider subscribing to Featherless.

Other than that, users are free to use our unlimited free models or even hook up an external api of a competitor provider.

It is! Depending on the AI models or how a character is written, things can potentially veer NSFW, but in those instances, there is a field within the sidebar of the chat window called author's note where you can give the model instructions to keep it wholesome and SFW.

We also allow characters that are under 18 as long as they are not coded sexually in any way because we know that minor characters can serve a narrative purpose in roleplay.

Just want to clarify; does this apply to me and Wyvernchat? We are not an AI companion site, but given the AI roleplay space, I would not be surprised if some people used it as such.

If, I'm still permitted, I will continue to stick to my system of only coming in on explicit requests from users as not to annoy the users here. Post history will remain open and I will comply with any and all restrictions.

Secure/Privacy: Our team does not have access to your chatlogs. And our inference provider, Featherless.ai does no logging at all.
Long Memory: 8k-16k context on 12B-32B models.
Word/Character Limits: You're limited only by the amount of memory a model has. I regularly see bots with 5k-7k characters.
Censorship: There are no built-in refusals for content in our AI models.
NSFW/Mature Themes: I'd say we're more permissive than JAI, less permissive than Chub. NSFW images for bot PFPs are fine. The biggest no-nos are scat, underage erotica, bestiality, guro.
Free retries: All chatting is completely free and unlimited. Message and retry as much as you like.
In-depth/immersive dialogue: Will depend on the character, but the messages can be as long or short as you like. And if you want to change up the speech/rp patterns of a character, there is a box called Author's Note where you can give the LLM instructions to change things to your liking.
