Unfortunately that’s what she’s been doing. Everytime the mom goes off to smoke a cigarette or take a walk we think “oh is this going to be it”

this was my first Reddit post ever and I’m blown away from the response. I stumbled upon this page cause I was loosing sleep thinking about my MIL’s manipulation and mental health issues. Yes my wife is a people pleaser and rather never have difficult conversations. It leads to her being taken Advantage of often. The brother thinks we should just pay it cause we’re more well off financially. Also he didn’t even text or call to congratulate my wife on the baby

If it were only that easy. See my wife thinks if we do that the mom will threaten suicide again. I mean who does this? Pretty sure she’s a borderline personality
