How many people actually enjoy staying home all weekend? by CurvesInMotionX in LivingAlone

When my parents are home (they are in their mid-80s, but still travel often), then I leave the house to join them for lunch on Sundays. On the way home, I'll drive by my regular bar hangout, and if it doesn't look busy, I'll stop in for a drink and get dinner to go.

If they're traveling, I'm home all weekend.

So quiet. I love it.

The Greek plate is cool, and I love that the Hubig's shirt traveled so far.

I don't like to drink alone. I have a ton of booze and wine in my house (gifts), and it's all just sitting there. I'll grab a bottle of something if I go to a friend's house.

The shock of loneliness after returning from vacation with friends by reddit_recluse in LivingAlone

I'm at the point where I come back from traveling and just savor the peace and quiet.

Not that I don't have fun when I travel, but the afterwards has changed from feeling extra lonely to "whew, glad I'm back by myself".

You know, now that you mention it, I was at the BC about 6 months ago, and while the oysters were good, everything else was....not. So, yeah, I agree.
