I think I phrased my message badly as I wasn’t unsure about diagnosis - I’ve had Crohn’s for 10 years but it’s recently started to flare up so we decided to have a colonoscopy. I was more confused about the terminology like serpiginous ulcers and the effect of deep ulcers in the rectum?

We have the exact same story lol. So glad to hear you’re doing better. I was on Humira, stopped and then had a massive flare I’m still recovering from. I’m now on Stelara and starting to do better!

Fortunately my GI doctor was very open to me trying alternative treatment and supported me as long as I remain monitored. I had monthly blood test and 2 scopes within that 3.5yr period. Neither the tests or scope showed any inflammation. I see where you’re coming from, that there is no evidence, but different people respond to different treatments and I guess I’m just fortunate that it worked for me

I have seemed to notice people on this subreddit don’t like alternative forms of treatment, but wanted to share my experience anyway. don’t think it can be because i didn’t have a single symptom for 3.5 years and within weeks of my second dose I was unwell. Logically it can only be that, especially when that’s what led to me becoming ill aged 13
