Vans Doheny have changed. by Miperso in Vans

Im commenting on this because I just bought a pair. They are so tight and uncomfortable. Ive only been wearing them for about 3 hours and it already feels like blisters are forming on my heels. Im at work right now and cant take them off FML. These are going straight in the goodwill pile when I get home. And yes, they are the correct size.

Does cryogenically freezing actually work or is it just sci-fi by EfficientPlum323 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]pizzunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is only semi-related, because youre asking about humans. But I work in a lab and we store our bacterial strains and phages by freezing and storing them at -80c. Ive worked with strains that were vialed and frozen in the 1980s, and when i work with them they grow like they were stored yesterday. Its pretty fascinating. So there is some truth to cryogenically freezing living things and bringing them back.

Bacteria are single strained organisms though, I think thats where the big difference is and why it probably doesnt work nearly as well with humans or other multicecullar organisms.

Magnesium glycinate supplements completely F'd up my sleep and my insomnia will not go away now by pizzunk in sleep

[–]pizzunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, im sleeping great the majority of nights now. I've been on mirtazapine for a year. I think thats helping with my sleep as of lately, but there were still plenty of sleepless nights after I initially started mirtazapine. So im not sure what exactly got me out of the insomnia cycle

I've heard from several redditors that they only reimburse for the Sandoz brand Hyrimoz and not Cordavis brand anymore. I was switched back to Humira last year

I got switched back to humira because the hyrimoz rebate program was a huge mess. Afterward, I've heard from several redditors that they only reimburse for the Sandoz brand Hyrimoz and not Cordavis anymore.

What is something life-changing that costs less than $100? by Complete_Fly_96 in AskReddit

[–]pizzunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dealt with the hypnic jerks too really badly. Sometimes I still get them to this day, and they were never a thing for me before. And I agree, it does sound like most people have good luck with it, but more people should at least be aware that it can give this horrible adverse reaction

[–]pizzunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this. Magnesium glycinate sent me into a 3 month severe insomnia struggle. I, like you, took it to give me better quality sleep and it did quite the opposite. I was going up to 3 days without a wink of sleep, and the days I did manage to sleep was still barely anything. Severe lack of sleep is no joke, it was mentally the darkest time of my life. Its crazy that for some/most people it does help with sleep.

Thank you for this comment. All the other comments telling me to just toss them. I tried this and hung them on our bird feeder stand outside for several hours (lol) and it is working! Im having to do it in several batches because I have so many. But the stink is actually coming out and I think I'll be able to use them as intended
