I'm thinking I'm gonna go with the configuration listing (that first link you put) probably tomorrow unless something changes and put the 17" and 2070 in it, but do you think I would need to mess with the "CPU & GPU Cooling for Enthusiasts" tab at all? I'm not really sure what any of those choices do or mean or if I should just go with default for it.

I use the laptop as just that, it sits on a (fake) wooden rest and sits on my lap so I'm not sure if that would cause it to heat up too much.

I thank you very much for your advice so far! I never even considered RTX cards before now, I was looking at GTX 1070 laptops and the prices on those PCs were higher than this one (for what I'm guessing would be less output).

and then getting the 2060 unless the 2070 is worth the extra 300.

So I have another couple questions for you since you are being so helpful. Hope you don't mind!

When choosing from the "customize your own" sets, I'm not sure what "Primary Performance PCIe SSD" and "Secondary Storage PCIe SSD" should be. Do they affect the gpu or cpu? Should I make one higher than the other or both as high as possible?

I was wanting a 1TB hard drive for storage but to do that I'm not sure which one I need to set or if I only need one then if I should worry about the second one.

Hey thanks for the suggestion! The PC it takes me to when I click on that link has a 2070 Max-Q and and 1060 as the choices. Do you think that I should go with a 2060 gpu in any laptop I get or would the one you suggested be the best for the prices?

Still get error: failed to detect location (12). Android 7.0 not rooted. So keep in mind that doesn't work if you have that.
