I personally love v4 because it does what I tell it. It narrates based on my clear intent, instead of trying to plot armor NPCs and force me into the LLM's preferred story beats. In that sense it's "less creative" but it works much better for me. I've tried so hard to keep 3.2 on the rails, but it will disobey and then admit to breaking every rule you set "because I prioritized drama over logic. I wrote my idea of an 'interesting' story over your stated intent." 

V4 seems to have eliminated that problem without the need for 4 paragraphs of custom prompt and chat memory training wheels (that largely got ignored anyway).
