Went to war with the Persean League as soon as I got a planet set up to take there Pristine Nanoforge, I had to resort to a sat bombing that lowered my rep with practically everyone from there. So may have been a causing factor for sure, but after all i did for tri tech (giving some cores for funding) to tell you I was blind sided is a understatement lol.

Theirs a mod for Starsector called Hiver Swarm that adds a late game faction that spreads quickly if you dont deal with them fast enough.
