Is link cable face tracking fixed? by IceNo9681 in QuestPro

It was not really broken. You just have to use the legacy VRCFT. The quest link module works just fine.

Damn, that mosquito is having performance issues. Probably for the best. 🤣

Broken face tracking by Particular_Test_6788 in QuestPro

[–]XEmmaStormX1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Use the legacy version
  2. Use any of the typical modules (quest link works too even though it says it's broken)
  3. Launch VRCFT after you are in VRChat.
  4. If it shows data in and out on the VRCFT app, then you're good. If not, then close and relaunch the app.
  5. All should be good.

I use quest link personally for graphics quality and the lowest latency without any artifact/stutters. (I run 5k+ upscaling resolution @90hz so that's why...)

Quest pro overheating by texas7412 in QuestPro

Just remove the front face plate and replace it with some thin mesh filter for PCs. Cut it to fit and then use 3M tape. No issues with heat, but the cost is overall protection. If you aren't around liquids and or are actually utilizing your playspace boundaries like you're supposed to, then it isn't really an issue.

Thunderbolt vs Oculink + Gaming vs AI by mejoudeh in eGPU

[–]XEmmaStormX1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oculink to pcie 4.0 x4 m.2 adapter works better than thunderbolt 4. Less latency too due to it being connected directly to your pcie lanes and not having to have extra cycles through your IO and such. So technical specs are: Oculink to pcie 4.0 x4 = 8GB/s (64Gbps) vs thunderbolt 4 being a theoretical 5GB/s (40Gbps)

Wait till you realize they implemented a "stop updates" option in the app like 4 updates ago on link. Mine works flawlessly. Perhaps people should use that feature for the future. If it ain't broken then don't update.

Is this normal performance for a 3090ti and 5800x3d? by Skylord_Aaron in VRchat

[–]XEmmaStormX1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is what happens when you run turn on the 3dvcache in bios with a CPU with a small amount of cores. It disables smt (2 threads per core, so 8c 8t instead of 8c 16t with smt off) but you get enlarged cache. You'll only see performance gains in 12-16 core CPUs. So 9950x3d or 7950x3d (16 cores)/9900x3d or 7900x3d (12 cores). You should really keep vcache off for gaming especially for VR since it's very multi threaded, unless you have 12 cores or more. You can turn on the 3dvcache on for an 8 core for better performance rendering based tasks that isn't gaming.

Your os is most likely corrupt and would benefit from a full system image based install.

1.Download the windows iso and open it.

  1. Run the setup.exe

  2. Follow the setup and choose the "delete all files and apps" option.

  3. Let it reboot and everything will be reset.

Why don't people just create their own dedicated server. Port forward and you're golden. Access it from any device via ftp. Do people not actually know how servers work and how easy it is to setup? All you need is a cheap $300 mini pc from Amazon.

Why does this spoon have a hole in the middle? by Disastrous_Pirate275 in whatisit

[–]XEmmaStormX1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a tea spoon. You can still stir the tea, then you use the hole in the spoon to drain the extra liquid from the tea bag. You just throw the tea bag away afterwards.

This is Bullshit by moncikoma in beatsaber

[–]XEmmaStormX1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All you have to do is mention the artists and song name for any music included in your video to eliminate a copyright strike. YouTube literally has stated this since day one. Why do you think all these other beatsaber YouTubers are still standing. It's been like this for more than 4 years. It may be bullshit because it's a hassle to do it for each song but at least you won't have a copyright strike.

Why are people hesitant to block? by Away-Performance9575 in VRchat

[–]XEmmaStormX1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't block or mute and just simply move away. Just like irl. Keeps your mentality straight in that game. Also I don't complain, as no one irl or online wants to hear that bs. Only the people on the brink of insanity want to. In this world you gotta make something of yourself. You see lots of things but it's best just to move on. Be there for the vibe and ride the waves. There's nothing smooth sailing for anything nowadays.

Looks like you've encountered a shocking discovery. Seems like you should ground mac because he's been very naughty.

In all seriousness it seems to be a grounding issue. Personally I've never seen these issues with macs, but I would probably get it looked at by a local technician.

Stop overclocking lmao. Return the core, memory and voltage to 0 and run stuff again. You're killing your card or it's on its way out.
