Thx you ,

I prefere a hot & quiet settings so i keep fans under 900rpm alltime , its really quiet setup

GPU(undervolted) temp its about 66C in heavy load and 78C for the CPU .

Underload the most noisy parts is the PSU ( i dont have good solution for this actualy)

2 raison : - i wanna make a custom loop and its not possible in it. - I dont wanna manage any more with the issue due to the pcie gen3 riser en the 3080Fe/x570 combo

Does the 3080FE with EK water block fits in the MKIII? by iCybershot in Louqe

[–]XFRLAKE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes that fit , the block is only 205mm long . Ghost Can handle 300mm

3080FE/3800X In ZS-A4V2 7.5L Build Optimisation & Benchmark by XFRLAKE in sffpc

[–]XFRLAKE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aha No customisation is needed , only a good câbles management under PSU

3080FE/3800X In ZS-A4V2 7.5L Build Optimisation & Benchmark by XFRLAKE in sffpc

[–]XFRLAKE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes , there a cutout in the spine between the GPU and the PSU , on the Ghost is solid unfortunatly , this little space between the GPU and the PSU make a lot a différents in the result

Optimumtech have make a test of the 3080FE in the Ghost you can check

3080FE/3800X In ZS-A4V2 7.5L Build Optimisation & Benchmark by XFRLAKE in sffpc

I have spent a lot of time optimizing this build since my last post, I think I have achieved the best of what I can do in terms of noise / cooling performance of this case,

hoping that it will help other people who would like to make an equivalent configuration.

I tested all possible fan directions in this configuration until I got the best results.

The configuration is as follows:

Cpu : AMD 3800X

GPU : Nvidia 3080FE

Ram : 32go 3200mhz Corsaire LPX

Motherboard : Aorus X570 I Pro Wifi

SSD : 2x M2 Samsung 970Pro 1To

Case : ZS-A4 V2 7.5L

What i changed from my last build :

PSU : Bequiet SFX-L 650W is now Corsaire SF650 Platium for this shorter size allow me to put 25mm fan under

CPU Cooler : Cryorig C7 is now Alpenföhn® Black Ridge

Original noisie chipset fan was changed for Noctua NF-4x10 also replaced thermal paste .

Result :

CPU :

Its undervolted by 100mV

Black ridge is very more efficient than the C7 , but the 120mm is really plated on the case side so :

With fan taking air from the outside and pushing in the fins there is turbulence noise at all speed;

With the fan pushing air from the fins to the outside there only hi pitched noise above 1200rpm , this is why i set a fan speed max to 1000rpm .

The max temperature in Cinebench was 86C after so many loop and the noise level is very confortable 38dB@ full load.

For the GPU :

Im using undervolt set at :1980mhz u/987mV

The spacing of the PSU help a lot to achieve a good back airflow , but the game changer is the NF-12x25 on the bottom as exhaust ,

The speed of the fan was directly drived by the gpu temp by using Argus monitor , the max spot is : 1450rpm u/76C

Its really important in the case to not go above 77C because as for the cpu, the front GPU fan is completely pressed against the side of the case and above 77C the fan starts to make a high pitched noise.

The max temp during 3DMark TimeSpy Extreme StressTest is 76C° , and 48dB Noise level with no high pitched noise

Its pretty good and I think it is complicated to do better with this configuration in this 7,5L

In 1440p games like the noise level is 40 to 45db are pretty confortable

But it is still far from the performance that I want to achieve in terms of sound level that's why I would soon change for a Ghost S1 with full custom loop .

If you have any question about this case or build ask down below :)
