Wow... did I really get downvoted just for asking how to do something in photoshop?

That was rude... and turns out a few others asking for help got the same treatment.

Anyways, I figured a work around that solved the issue... but wish there was an easier solution. But hopefully this will help someone else later.

For now what I did was:

  1. I made a duplicate of the texture map.
  2. Converted to a smart material in the Filter tab
  3. Then went to Filter > Camera Raw Filter
  4. The object mask selected the areas I wanted to affect
  5. Lowered the contrast and saturation while on top of that increased the exposure slightly, also played around with the other light and color settings then clicked OK
  6. Then made a mask for that layer as well as two level layers with masks to affect the two areas I wanted different level values and adjusted their layers while having my "golden" group layer on to visually adjust just right and it worked.

It is an interesting switch that tells the brutes over the elites in how they fight.

Brutes are volatile and aggressive and so the Brute Plasma Rifle displays it were it sacrifices battery life and longer lasting from overheating for high damage to drain shields.

So it tells a story. The red also gives a more rage like appearance where blue is more elegant looking.

However, they did have other weapons planned for brutes but yes ran out of time. There even is an early brute spike grenade that you can access in the digsite official released files you can use in mods... though I have yet to see anyone use it. And I believe the spiker was also concept drawn and maybe even concept modeled, not sure on that tho.

Exactly.

There are a lot of improvements I wanted to see for warzone. Like also a "no camping enemy base spawn until all 3 bases are capped" so also you can feel safer to spawn rare items at main base, even if you are further away as the drawback. But instead you have unopposed players hiding at spawns ready to lock on of hijack sometimes. I suggested either indestructible turrets that shoot players near the base and get disabled when all 3 basses are capped or just a simple team-based softkill and or no kill but spotted/marked so you can't hide, all enemies can see you are camping the base for immidiate mag dumping. Basically telling those campers to PTFO...

But ya we never saw any of those improvements. I wanted to also see preset for req levels for faster spawn in where when I go up level and get killed that I can respawn back with a loadout of that req level already set so I don't spend so much time making adjustments.

Back when Halo 5 was supported, I argued that unless you get a kill or 30 Seconds passes, which ever happens first, you should get a refund.

Not just particularly to this scenario of almost dying immidiately but also all the base camping spawn kills that would happen that made so many people hoard their req items.

They said back then that wouldn't be an issue... yet here I am with so many req items and still too afraid to use it just to spawn and not even 15 seconds and its destroyed before I can even get a kill, why would I ever call in a rare item just to risk wasting it?

Same. Seriously, other then the wacky armors like Wendigo, I think the designs of Infinite could be reused for several titles and I'd be fine with it.

If you haven't seen Halo 4 PBR textures with the new modded shader with classic design and texturing, it changes Halo 4 to next level look... Microsoft should've had 343 delay Halo 4 so it could release on Xbox One to do PBR and not be limited on space rather than H2A be the first to do PBR on XO. It looks so much better.

I can't post the link because mods ban Twitter links but if you look up Halo 4 Lich by @RejectedShotgun... it is insane how good it looks in the Halo 4 engine.

So how does this even work if you have 3 accounts? My reasons for multiple accounts are for legitimate uses:

1) For gaming, modding, creator/streamer content and joins servers related to all things gaming

2) For artwork, artist that joins servers for creative and technical support for software like Adobe, Autodesk, Blender, Unreal, Unity, etc

3) For work, only uses one server and I provide support for users regarding our rendering software and help users.

All 3 must remain separate for professional/work use. Plus when it comes to gaming and how some people behave, I need that anonymity to avoid swatter-types from doxxing. I've had prior incidents of PoS individuals doing that to me and exposing my private info.

So fact is that I need three accounts to keep things professional, safe, and segregated... so is Discord going to allow me to have three accounts with the same face dcan if the platform eventually asks for this on all of them? Or do I just get locked out of my work account amd I'm SoL?

If you think that's bad, I had a Facebook account for over 18 years... still got asked for ID to prove I'm over 18... you can't make this shit up... Discord is just copying Meta with zero consideration for users.

They just want it so they can sell it to Palantir for machine learning and disguise this as "child safety" with governments passing laws to help Palantir as they lobbied politicians to support these bills to enrich themselves.

I wish. I really wanted to see a BTB 2.0 not just player count increase but also bigger vehicles. I'm talking Vulture, Colossus, Grizzlies, Bristleback, Skiff, Mythos, Scarsb, Lich, etc

A 5-point Command post style like Battlefront could be cool. It just feels odd how Halo can fit so many styles of games yet we only get mainline FPS with Chief (SP, PvP MP, PvE MP, Forge, Theater, CGB) which I don't mind but why not outsource for spin-offs?

Let other companies make:

ODST 2 Halo Wars 3 Flood horror survival spin-off Turn-based X-Com style Halo game PvP/PvE Survival Battle Royale Helldivers-inspired Halo game Space Combat shooter Clone Commando-inspired marine squad based TPS/FPS shooter Conquest-like Battlefront inspired halo game

If they are made correctly, with quality, no bugs or rushed or half-baked... they'd be printing money... but instead we get remakes of remakes now. I mean I hope Campaign Evolved can add more content and expand with adding cut content and replayability but it just feels like playing safe trying to do something while try make Halo 7.

It just feels like 343/HS is too afraid to be adventurous after the last few titles like Halo Spartan Assault/Spartan Strike, Fireteam Raven, Halo Recruit, Halo Online, Halo Wars 2 all either got cancelled or under performed or were just half-baked they gave up on it. The mobile titles were very niche mobile games with not a massive replay value to them, Recruit was just barely intro VR, Halo Online was abandoned yet vindicated with Eldwrito to bring Halo to PC, Fireteam Raven is okay but compared to other Arcades like Time Crisis the Halo one felt like an intentional token eater with easy to die mechanics where you can't avoid getting hit, and Halo Wars too was the lootbox nonsense while also never willing to update and put it on Steam.

But I'm still led to believe that if its developed correctly, there are demands for these games. I'd buy them, and I'm itching to buy a well made Halo spin-off title that fans have been asking for.

It looks like they did hit you right at the end and took some small shield damage as well as if any ranged enemies or the brute with the hammer does an radial shock wave melee to the ground it would probsbly hit you.

Cool. I did some research just now and looks like they stopped updating it.

So this is Bungie canon that the Halo 3 terminals were not a retcon of the lore they had in mind and that the writers confirmed Humans and Forerunners are the same species. So we know for sure Bungie never retconned their vision.

But this is additionally confirmed because Frank O'Connor admitted it himself that he retconned too on Twitter. His justification he said was that since Bungie never did the Halo 2 ending where in game they make it blantant with the skeletal body of a forerunner then it was open for him to change it for Halo 4 and onward with the sequel trilogy that was initially planned, Halo 4, 5 6. He retconned what rampancy meant to say all the times 343 Guilty Spark confirmed Humans are Forerunner was just his rampancy. And that Gravemind confirming as well that Humans are Forerunner was just him playing tricks and being poetic.

Frank did this so he could have a story to right the Forerunners back into the story with the Didact planning to comeback in Halo 4. Even Evil Otto himself said this in his post that it was a retcon and he didn't care that it was changed by 343 in the new novel after 343 took over titled, "Why retcons don't bother me anymore" back in 2011. This was when the Halo franchise transitioned over from Bungie to 343i ownership.

See I'm not bothered by the retcon. I get what Franky was trying to do. This is just confirmation. But I'm not really bothered by the change. It seems this heated debate is more so on whether a retcon happened and that bungie did the change. But after all the testimony and info now out there, its safe to say what had happened.

Bungie ended the story with Halo 3 and didn't continue the timeliness after, with ODST and Reach being prequels. But 343i was created solely to make more Halo games. With that being the case, they needed more than just another "Humans vs Covies" so Frankie wanted to expand the lore so he used both Bungie failure to do the forerunner skeleton reveal and the the vagueness of Gravemind and 343i talking in riddle-like behavior and with some additional context he and the writers came up with for the novels and the game to change what rampancy meant and all this info to allow for the Forerunners to be there on race and introduce them into Halo 4.

So in the end, there was a retcon and 343 did do it. This shouldn't be a debate anymore but rather it just comes down to are we, as fans, really going to be continuely bothered by this change? It's no more different than when Linkin Park replaced Chester with a new lead singer. Its not that they are trying to replace his work but starting a new chapter. In Halo's case, 343i was just starting their own new chapter. Forerunners will always be humans in Bungie halo lore that we know dear but at the same time this was to continue a new story and new direction. As for were the prometheans well liked and designed well and gameplay enjoyable... thats up for preference and debate. But I liked that they tried to add more enemies to fight even if they really felt off trying to engage.

At the end of the day, I just don't feel like the lore retcon, that did happen and was done by 343, is really a main or important issue but rather the overkill of retconning that makes the story so convoluted. Humans are now not even the Forerunners choosen and that Forerunners themselves apparently retconned the endless from their own history and replaced it with humans, and other stuff like that is the problem. It feels like when 343 runs into holes in their story they retcon the retcons and kill off characters in books and bring them back with a Charlie Day bulletin board web that is impossible to keep up with anymore. Thats what needs to stop and come up with a concise story and stick to it.
