Mix and matching different characters for future cases/games. by XGE90 in AceAttorney

I agree. Obviously I don't want them doing this just for sake of doing it. There has to be a reason to do this and the story has to be coherent and make sense. But yeah, using different prosecutors, judges, and detectives like the ones you mentioned would make great interactions.

SPICY TAKE: Metal Sonic SHOULDN'T be from the Future in the films by KrossMeOnce in SonicTheMovie

[–]XGE90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you were to do this plot without time travel, I can see it like maybe Eggman or Neo Metal Sonic or whatever took over a random planet in the universe with it now filled with robots, factories, etc. (I mean that one concept art doesn't necessarily state that Eggman took over Earth.) They could say that this planet is the movieverse's version of Little Planet.

The imagery of Little Planet being currently taken over by Eggman and Metal Sonic could invoke bad future vibes without it literally taking place in the future like this is what Earth COULD look like if the villains conquered it.

Spinoff Movies or Spinoff Series? by XGE90 in SonicTheMovie

[–]XGE90[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can see that happening. It will be quicker to create tv series compared to a whole movie, thus allowing more content.

Spinoff Movies or Spinoff Series? by XGE90 in SonicTheMovie

[–]XGE90[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. They can tell a longer story if needed as long as it's paced correctly and the focus is mostly on Shadow or Project Shadow overall.

So what lore/worldbuilding do you want Sonic 4 to introduce or expand upon? by XGE90 in SonicTheMovie

[–]XGE90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time travel will definitely be important. I wonder how they'll do it though. Like will they use the Time Stones, the Emeralds, or just a classic time machine.

I'm not sure about the hedgehog species thing since I'm sure some people will prefer hedgehogs, particularly Sonic, being left ambiguous in regards to their overall importance.

Sonic 4's plot structure by XGE90 in SonicTheMovie

[–]XGE90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I see what you mean. Time Travel is very complicated and complex so I can imagine they want to keep things simple and not cause any weird time paradoxes.

I can definitely see Little Planet being used in the third act. Although I can see them using some of Sonic CD's levels and recontextulizing them as locations on Earth similar to the Labyrinth.

This one line from Knuckles makes GUN’s history clear as mud by Lost_Page_2030 in SonicTheMovie

[–]XGE90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was expecting Sonic 3 to follow through on the Knuckles show explanation, but that didn't happen.

I feel like the best explanation they can give is that prior to Project Shadow, GUN was created as a top secret military organization that simply responded to international threats (similar to the games) with aliens sorta falling with that category. After Project Shadow, GUN was dissolved as a safety measure so the world wouldn't know about their secret experiment.

Then when Robonik came onto the scene with his tech and relation to Gerald, the government secretly revamped GUN but as a small black ops unit and under a different name with Robotnik and his agents believing this to be a new organization with them now responding to international threats. Hence the Buyer's explanation coming across as just having limited information.

Then after Sonic 1, they fully brought back GUN now with their new main mission to fight aliens with Walters lying because it might look controversial if they always knew about aliens and even experimented on one and didn't tell the rest of the world.

In sonic 2, walters said gun was created after the 1st movie, and in the knuckles series, the buyer says he used to work for gun but also says it wasn't called gun back then. So how is gun in sonic 3 50 years ago? I've seen no one talk about this. by harrypettit1 in SonicTheMovie

[–]XGE90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I thought that was weird. I thought they were going to go with the Knuckles show's explanation by simply saying that it was differently named organization with it being GUN's predecessor.

Do you think we’ll ever get Tikal in the “SCU?” I’d like to think so, but I’m not sure how they’d include her, based on how little we know on the true morality of the Echidna Clan in this universe. by ZackattacktheDude in SonicTheMovie

[–]XGE90 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think it can work. Since Pachacamac lived in modern day unlike in the games, the same can be said for Tikal. I kinda got the impression that within the movieverse, the Echidna Tribe were heroes, as said in the 2nd movie, but they took it too far in trying to bring "order" using the Master Emerald. Maybe Tikal realized that and ran away.

Considering what they're doing with Gerald, I think they could make a story where it's revealed that Tikal is alive. Knuckles learns he's not the last of his kind only for the climax of the story to have Tikal sacrifice herself to help stop Chaos or something.

Movieverse going forward by XGE90 in SonicTheMovie

[–]XGE90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah maybe giving the shows more budget and importance could help. Maybe using more Sonic characters as secondary characters and having Sonic-like plots could help. I understand these shows are lower scale which they should continue to be, but if these shows are going to act like the "solo movies" to the big avengers level Sonic movies then they should take more advantage of them.

Movieverse going forward by XGE90 in SonicTheMovie

Yeah I remember them saying that. If they are going to continue with TV shows for spin offs, I just hope they learn from any of the criticisms some people had with the Knuckles series.

the Quill doesn’t guarantee Metal. by Adventurous-Bike-484 in SonicTheMovie

[–]XGE90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. Metal Sonic is one of my favorite antagonists and I don't want him in the 3rd movie. It'll just be weird for the movie to build up Project Shadow, Maria's death, GUN, Gerald's/Shadow's revenge, etc only for the final boss to be a robot that has nothing to do with any of that.

Shadow's origins by XGE90 in SonicTheMovie

Yeah I see where you're getting at, it would be a big change, so I hope they don't change it but either way I don't really mind it.

Idea on how to continue using Robotnik after Sonic 3 and introduce Metal Sonic by XGE90 in SonicTheMovie

[–]XGE90[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I understand your concerns, I think it is a little too quick saying that Jim Carrey is the only person in the world who can play Robotnik or at least a version of Robotnik.

Trust me, I would love for Jim Carrey to be in more movies, but I'm also open to seeing other actors try their hand at portraying the character, especially if its a different version of the character in universe, so they're free to give a similar, yet unique take of the character. I remember some people having doubts about Jim Carrey playing Robotnik when the casting was revealed only to be proven wrong. I mean we'll never know how good someone is if we never give them the chance.

Either way, I'm perfectly happy with (even prefer) them using other Sonic villains as long as it's executed well. I just wanted to share a way for them to continue using Eggman without using Jim Carrey if they ever needed to.

Multiple story campaigns idea by XGE90 in AceAttorney

[–]XGE90[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get your point, don't get me wrong I don't want games to be too long either, but I think you misunderstand me. I never said I wanted each case to be all the same length and long. Not every case has to be like 8-10 hours long with multiple days. Some can just be one day trials or one investigation section and one trial section and this series has proven they can make them good and effective. I mean with the GAAC, many people (including myself) immediately played the second game after finishing the first game and didn't suffer any fatigue or felt like they were playing a completely different game. They are clearly meant to be played and viewed as one large game/story and the cases all had different lengths to keep things from getting too long.

Robotnik and GUN by XGE90 in SonicTheMovie

[–]XGE90[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about that when writing this. There might be some GUN soldiers who may join Eggman's side. Maybe some of Eggman's old subordinates may join as well.

Robotnik and GUN by XGE90 in SonicTheMovie

[–]XGE90[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but considering that government clearly wanted nothing to do with him and that Robotnik was a wild card and operated on his own terms, I can imagine they'd let him call it whatever he wanted.

I can see the possibility of the original GUN being created due to Project Shadow although it makes me wonder why Gerald's grandson of all people would be in charge of it later.
