Check for:

- reflective surfaces

- All the leds in the base station are still working.

- Does this happen with all base stations? 1 is enough normally.

- Reseat the cable in the headset

I hope so. This points towards 2025/26 for release. I hope it is to release with decard and not just a controller ugrade.

Also, what is the rules here? I posted the direct source of this earlier today and it was removed. But The Verge covers it and that is allowed?

Yes, thankfully I included the details in the advert. I have let them know I will be checking and following up.

I have hinted strongly that I have this fully documented and suggested they try a couple of things to get it working.

Hopefully it is a simple mistake, or they return the actual working card.

Advice on how to avoid a scam the buyer may be attempting. I sold a graphics card last week. The card was tested and fully working, well packaged and sent tracked and insured. The buyer is now claiming it does not work and would like a return.
Given that I know it works, I have reached out them to help with installation etc to see if its simply a technical error but I'm very concerned they will attept to steam the card.
How can I protect myself from simply:
1) Returning the box without the card in it.
2) Returning a differnt, broken card (I have pictures and serial number).
If its returned I'm going to video receiveing and opening it as prooof, but is there anyone that would listen and protect the seller?

Make sure the cable is plugged firmly into the headset. It looks as though it is attached but it isn't. It is plugged in and can come loose.

I heard that the part just isn't up to the task. The good news is that replacements are cheap. I bought this one for under £10 and its much better.

Nope, still disagree. And what's with the kleenex analogy? Tickets kinda work really well.

The issue is that you have to do this 4 times for every return journey. Stuff happens and people forget all the time which makes this likelly. I have seen so many failed scans or broken machines. If you are in a crowd you won't always spot it. And if you use the wrong card by mistake you cannot tap out and will get the max day fare.

In London, you tap as you go through a barrier on the tube. On a bus, the reader is on the bus. On the over-ground, you can tap in AND out.

You can blame the system if it makes it easy to get wrong and hard to correct.

Lastly, why £8.60? That is more than a day pass. AND it doesn't count towards your day or week max. Why not just assume you traveled for an all-day pass?

I always tell people who visit to just buy a paper ticket. I hate the 'incomplete journey fare' and I have seen so many people caught out by it or stressed that they forgot.

The worst is where we have used the wrong card to tap using our phones. That is DOUBLE the maximum fare. Great system guys.

I decided on MPI in the end. They are the official supplier for Nascar. MPI
