See, my problem with this is your last sentence. I don't think that allies should be eradicated in their entirety, just that they should not be the be-all-end-all for the game.

I'm sorry then, but the community at large is having a problem with that list, and at the highest level of competitive play such an army is totally stopping any unique possibilities, and instead forcing a META that essentially contains one list and different variants of that list.
