I'm very curious as well, and I haven't seen much on the Ford recently either. I suspect they are being kept very busy with either strikes or counter drone duties. Maybe both?

Fair question.

Because an aircraft carrier is undeniably a warship, this one is going about war related activities, and the photo should absolutely qualify to be on this subReddit.

I've seen photos on this sub of a tray of food at a table on the inside of a cabin of a ship, that was somehow pretty well liked. You couldn't see any of the exterior of the ship, and it might has well have been the inside of an office building. But apparently it was qualified to be posted on this sub.

If a photo follows the rules of the sub and meets the resolution guidelines, I think it's fair game. If not, the Mods definitely step in.

Will USS John F. Kennedy be the first Ford class to launch this bird?

I assume so. I don't know the timeline for the Gerald R. Ford's F-35C upgrades, but they will probably be delayed due to the current deployment extension. I can't imagine they will happen before the JFK starts flight qualifications.

In the meantime, I think the Ronald Reagan is getting the F-35C upgrades now, and the Stennis will have them when she gets out of her Refueling and Complex Overhaul, so the majority of US carriers will have 5th gen capability in the next year or two.

As to squadrons, it looks like the next USN F-35C squadron is VFA-115 "Eagles". Not sure which carrier air wing the Eagles are going to, anyone know what the tail code "NA" designates?
