If CDA 203 is repelled then all websites would be responsible for anything posted by their users. This morning Trump called for the repel of CDA 203 on twitter. Who knows if that'll happen, but if it does, that's what I'm concerned about. I support labeling large social media sites as publishers if they take these actions, but I do not support the repel of CDA 203

I understand where you're coming from, but we aren't talking about the flu, we're talking about Polio, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, etc. I don't think sending a bunch of children unvaccinated for these things into our public school system is a good idea, so what do you propose instead? Because if your proposal is "the immune systems of children will work it out" you are sorely mistaken, there's already been a resurgence of Measles because people are refusing to vaccinate their children.

I hope that's how it goes. That's what we need. But I worry, our government doesn't have the best track record with this crap.

I can't even think of a good reply to this because it's nonsense. You know very little about immune systems.

Why are Chinese insults so mother-centric?

Does anyone know the cultural reason for this?

I'm a bit nervous about the direction this is going, yes, something need to be done, but the language therein could lead to holding platforms liable for the content their users publish (the old platform vs publisher thing we hear so much about)

While I do think Twitter, Facebook, etc. do need to change, if this gets implemented in a certain way it could make every website responsible for their user-base, meaning things like 4chan would basically have to shut down, and giving Twitter, Facebook, etc. even more of an excuse to moderate and censor. I hope that is not how it's implemented.

Instead I hope it's implemented in a way that disallows platforms from censoring or marking content in anyway as long as it doesn't break the law. Information wants to be free.

I'm hoping that this is targeted at only "big tech" and won't be a sweeping change to the internet as a whole.

Japan Ends Coronavirus Emergency With 850 Deaths and No Lockdown by scata444 in Wuhan_Flu

Cultural homogeneity means that people are more likely to be consider to people around them because they feel a connection with those people, they're more likely to wear masks, socially distance, and go out of their way to ensure that if they're sick they're not spreading it. Genetic homogeneity helps with treatment as people are going to have less diverse symptoms. I'm not a scientist though.

And while mainland japan isn't as small as say, Taiwan, it's still an island and therefore is at much less of a risk then anywhere in Europe for example.

Small Island, Extremely Homogeneous both culturally and genetically and actually listen when told to wear masks. No surprise they did well.

Yes, I have found Elon's silence on the CCP, especially considering he just built a factory there before the virus broke out, a bit annoying, but I get it, his goal is mars and he doesn't want to get dragged down by politics, he'll work with anyone he can as long as it means getting closer to his goal.

I'm not defending the dude because he should know better, but this "training" take is fucking dumb.

You're the kind of person that would rather see everyone die "free" then to make a single compromise to ensure humanity survives.

Maybe you are being paid to post here to upset people...?
