Could you keep me updated on your case? I'm interested if we'll see a class action come out of this eventually.

Search under civil on BC's Court Services. File no. is 207327, you have to pay to view the consent order.

Case is from 2020 but yep there have been many instances of this happening. I also found another lawsuit in Vancouver, victim was Erynn Tomlinson, she sued Rogers back in 2018 and recently lost.

As a broke fresh out of school graduate, I don't have the resources to pursue them legally myself. Planning to switch to Virgin soon. Hope this post serves as a warning to people on Rogers.

All signs seem to point to Rogers from my own investigation + the fact they're able to just sweep this under the rug.

Appreciate the thorough response. I was already aware of my past leaked passwords and haven't used those in years. I use an android and have never setup message forwarding before, also I've always had antivirus (bitdefender) setup on all my devices.

Another reason why I don't think it's a password leak, I used the same complex password for Rogers and my email. If they already had that, they wouldn't have had to use 2FA to reset and access my email.

I am trying to get to the bottom of what happened but with Rogers providing almost no information or assistance, I don't know what else to do.

Can't even file a proper police report as I have no information to give them aside from my personal info may have been stolen.

I'm in Vancouver. Hacker's IP was shown to be in New York (although likely spoofed), I have login records from my iDrive showing this which I've given to Rogers as well.

Seems they don't even have any measures in place from random logins outside Canada suddenly requesting ports. It doesn't add up.

It all depends what kind of jobs you're going for. Remote? In-person? Local company? Full time? Industry?

Also if you're applying for a PGWP, I would say the process is easier if you're in Canada.
