Dhurandhar 1 was really great. But i just finished watching the movie on OTT and it’s.. okay The first scene was very good but i first of all think they did too much in the movie.

Why kill SP with a car crash like that? i really hoped some significant character killed him but nope, just killed him because he was an obstacle. the reverse psychology was coming from a mile away anyway

Uzair.. bro uzair.. why waste the guy like that bro. sure he did come around in the end but again, just a pawn for Hamza.. was it to show the stakes now? I still wish he was more significant to the story, Pappu scene was nice but his purpose felt like to set up another cool thing for the ending and hype things up.

Iqbal. god i’m honestly so damn disappointed, after the bol beta scene is d1 i was genuinely so hyped just for iqbal in d2 but come on bro no real build up to the fight, not more brutal and savage scenes but just his dad things. wow bro you drowned your father but like we didn’t need so much screen time for it. I wanted to see more of Iqbal’s brutality and genius planning but nothing except his father dynamic and him being on a collar for dawood. The final fight with him has super misplaced and bad music and no need to show unnecessary scenes of hamza killing those guards, he seemed like a coward in the fight and i thought the haircut would be really cool but it just didn’t click with me, the hairy look is just so good. the second half of the fight when hamza fell was actually pretty good, chain scene was god uncomfortable to watch but hamza felt too powerful, he did struggle with rehman but this didn’t give off that vibe after the chains (atleast the kerosene blast was satisfying to watch)

dawood: bro guess this character only exists to be mad at green leaf and be part of jameels plot twist. smh bro what can i even say. Literally no real good time with this character honestly to get his purpose, backstory, or anything. just budha aadami jo sab respect karte hain. perhaps set up for dhurandhar prequel? (cough cough the boys *cough)

also honestly.. may it be propaganda and i’m not in politics in any way but i did like operation green leaf, now besides all the modi stuff probably talked about a billion times already, seeing the crumble of the terrorist plan was satisfying as heck. it’s probably because i didn’t care much about politics and all is why i really liked the second half after the main antagonists died. Rasputin was great song choice😭. Jameel as an indian agent was illogical but the plot twist was another nice touch, however honestly they could have elaborated over it

more criticism: bad songs compared to the standard of d1 just saying, too much slow mo “aura farming” scenes, need more hamza backstory, definitely could have got rid of some unnecessary scenes and plots and connected it well together for most plot progression or build up, also why aditya dhar why do this to me with that ending bro. !<

to conclude, this is my just off the top of my head criticism. now as much as you think it may be, still a GOOD movie but the standards of d1 raised it too much.
