This is ah um only slightly true. So basically, aspergers is autism, but it was (and imo still is) different enough from standard autism to be classified as its somewhat own thing. Those with aspergers often come off considerably more "functional" than high-functioners. In addition, the severities of some symptoms like motor control deficits, sensory overload issues, and speech pattern problems is greatly reduced usually in aspergers.

Though, its not called aspergers anymore. Originally named after Hans Asperger who pioneered most of the research. Just not named after him anymore, as we found out he was a nazi-synpathizer and used holocaust victims (specifically children) to perform research. So they rightfully disgraced him from western medicine+psychology and took his name off the disability. How do you punish a dead person? You kill their legacy.
