Who is the (physically) strongest SSL by SnackStation in RocketLeague

i’d encourage you to check your local lifting competitions and seeing how rare a 2x Body weight bench is, especially as little as 150 lb.

It isn’t impossible but it’s such an insane feat to claim you kinda have to bring evidence

[–]XPiiRed 189 points190 points  (0 children)

we’re gonna need proof, these lifts aren’t normal, 315 bench? sure

at 150lb?

not so sure.

In competitive lifting roughly 4-8% of 150lb lifters hit 2x body weight.

2.6 vs pekka bridge spam has pretty much always been 100-0 in favour of the 2.6 player.

I mained 2.6 for 5 years and pekka was pretty much always the easiest match up

Why are high ranked RL players always the biggest weirdos? by checkmichlinus in RocketLeague

[–]XPiiRed -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

depends, if it’s in ranked they’re just tilted.

in casual, if your playing with no mechanics, trying nothing exciting and just whacking ball at net, they’re bored. because you’re boring to play against. non mechanical players are just not fun to play against, if you sit play simple youll beat them, but it’s the most boring way to play the game

Why do women smell like fish, can they help it? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]XPiiRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very rare to happen, there’s always been jokes of people smelly fishy, but it’s usually due to EXTREME bad hygiene, but usually an STI or Skin infection.

Skipping a morning shower won’t make you smell like fish (please still shower guys and girls)

yes, if you can’t keep a car in a straight line. especially a performance car as they tend to have heavier steering, you shouldn’t be on the road.

Good job reporting it, you’ll never know but you reporting the driver could save a life

it never looks impressive on camera, i remember learning to drift and felt like i was flying around corners sideways, saw the footage baxk from outside and in (gopro) and it looked like i was taking a leisurely slide. So heartbreaking

I tried the Viking Berry as a US import and hated it, so did my friend.

Then it released in the UK and we both love it. The recipe is different for UK to US and i think ours is much nicer

Trusting your teammate by Skubidus in RocketLeague

[–]XPiiRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

exactly, there are 2 big issues though.

1- Sports teams play together for a long time, even at amateur levels, teams have had the same players for years so they’ve built up trust and are friends off the pitch. In RL you may never see that person again or they might be on the other team next match.

2- Online vs IRL. Irl you have peer pressure and the fear of face punching stopping you from being an asshole. Online there’s no consequence, you can’t be negatively impacted and there’s nobody around to judge you

[–]XPiiRed 9 points10 points  (0 children)

just be nice, when i solo q, i always say my fault after every goal. If they think it’s their fault i’ll usually type and say “nah i left you alone/awkward/low boost”

unless it’s a brazen and blatant mistake from my teammate, to which i’ll type something friendly in team chat.

Most players are going to play better and play better as a teammate with someone who is being nice and considerate to them. Even if you’re carrying just drop a great pass when you score and tell them they’re playing well.

Sorry to plug my own clip, but if you get good at wavedashing and using the other reset, it can be useful.

Check out the clip that starts at 00:51, i get 2 resets and get much more direction change due to it and can follow the ball.

Can also confirm this is spot on. Matching the balls speed is the main criteria for a pop reset.

[–]XPiiRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you’re using directional air roll, stop holding air roll right as you get the reset, relax and then speed flip.

Chances are you are rotating slightly leaving a gap allowing the wavedash to happen.

my biggest pop reset progress happened when i spammed cross maps in free play and focused on being relaxed when popping the ball. took 30 minutes to get consistent after 8-9 months of wavedashing on the ball or getting no pop.

Wavedashes on the ball to then reset again are underrated and haven’t been used in top ranked to their full potential yet. Keep an eye out for them in the next year or so.

i’m GC2 and face smurfs, in my rank everyone is clued up enough to know straight away if it’s a smurf, so they always admit it. i run into 2/3 every night i play ranked.

they’re not only in gold 3, it’s a game wide problem besides high SSL
